WHO YOU’LL WORK WITH
Our Advanced Analytics Group is a team of experts in data science, engineering, marketing science, operations research and primary research. You will work alongside Bain’s consulting teams to provide high quality results for our clients, some of the most successful and pioneering businesses in the world.
This is an opportunity to take on a lead role in the Data Management & Visualization team of Bain’s expanding Advanced Analytics Group.
WHAT YOU’LL DO
- Act as an expert to advice consulting teams on the application and design of data visualization and dashboarding solutions
- Design and/or implement tools for data visualization and reporting solutions to support data analysis, including calculation of metrics, and detection of trends
- Develop and deploy visualizations & dashboards, etc., following modern data visualization methods an using BI tools including Tableau and PowerBI.
- Explore, model, mine, and experiment with data to answer critical business issues
- Work in a collaborative manner with clients and case team members to understand business needs and translate these in metrics and data needs, while collaborating iteratively on data visualization
- Keep abreast of new and current data visualization trends and technologies
- Act as a solution architect on projects, owning the data visualization solution end to end
- Conduct and lead white-boarding sessions, workshops, design sessions, and project meetings building strong client relations
- Lead analysis, design, development and deployment of dashboards and reports
- Translate business needs into compelling visualizations of KPI trends through iterative design sessions and wireframing
- Collaborate with clients’ Data Warehouse, Business Intelligence, and Reporting teams to standardize reporting and analytics implementation(s) across a variety of business teams/users/constituents
- Deep knowledge of BI tools, including Tableau and/or PowerBI
- Collaborate closely with and influence business consulting staff and leaders as part of multi-disciplinary teams to assess opportunities and technical solutions for Bain clients across a variety of sectors
- Develop reusable templates for solving common data visualization needs
- Establish and implement state-of-art solutions and best practices, reflecting the latest trends and evolving industry standards
- Collaborate with leaders of other teams to ensure Bain and AAG are bringing the optimal combination of expertise to deliver results for our clients
ABOUT YOU
- 7 + years’ experience in addressing business needs through data visualization design and development with a leading company
- Extensive experience in addressing business needs through data visualization design and development with a leading company
- Proven passion for analytics and Business Intelligence and the ability to communicate its value as a strategic business advantage
- Track record of learning new technologies related to data visualization and analytics
- Agile development methodology experience, including leading and training Agile teams
- Knowledge of data visualization design, development and deployment methodologies and approaches
- Experience with Business Visualization toolkits (e.g. Tableau, PowerBI, Qliksense, Looker etc.) and CRM technologies
- Demonstrated experience with using data in analytics from a variety of sources (e.g. AWS Redshift, Athena, RDS, BigQuery, Snowflake)
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Must thrive in a fast paced & collaborative client-facing environment
- Occasional travel depending on business needs
