Senior Data Platform Engineer

As a part of Industrial Asset Management (IAM), we build data and analytics platform, data pipelines and frameworks with fully managed cloud services which will be used to build IAM product solutions such as condition/health monitoring, asset performance management, process optimization solutions etc. Our high performing digital teams are agile, they continuously learn new technology to build state of the art technology solutions.

Data Platform Engineer is responsible for designing, developing, implementing, and supporting structured and unstructured data systems for analytical and relational solutions in Azure cloud environment including providing technical expertise in deploying applications on Azure Databricks platform, Data Factory etc.,
As Senior Data Platform Engineer, you will be responsible for:

Driving optimized performance and issue resolution of Data Platforms including Azure Databricks

Ensuring uptime of data infrastructure, and taking corrective actions to resolve issues in a timely manner

Identifying and lead process improvement initiatives including data platform performance
-
Partnering with DevOps and Product owners for capacity planning and to better manage analytics workloads

Participating in the data domain technical and business discussions relative to future architect direction.

Participating in development data and data delivery platforms that are service-oriented with reusable components that can be orchestrated together into different methods for different businesses.

Researching and evaluating emerging technology, industry and market trends to assist in project development and/or operational support activities.
Fuel your passion
To be successful in this role you will:

Have Bachelor’s Degree, from an accredited university, in Computer Science or “STEM” Majors (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math).

Have 5+ years of hands-on technical experience in data platforms
-
Have 2+ years hands-on experience with Databricks and/or lake house architecture is required
-
Have knowledge of identity and access, cluster usage, cost management and automation.
-
Have experience with Databricks Notebooks, Databricks SQL, Spark and Python.
-
Have experience with Databricks Delta Lake performance optimization.
-
Have 2+ years with cloud automation and CI/CD
-
Have databricks certification is an advantage
