Job Location: Remote
We are looking for an individual to assume the role of Tableau Administrator. The primary responsibility for this role will be to oversee the day-to-day operation of the Tableau environment. This includes managing user accounts and licensing as well as monitoring performance and stability of the environment. The candidate will need to be able to conduct period licensing audits as well as ensuring the environment is kept up to date with the latest security patches and software versions. The ideal candidate would be able to work with developers to evaluate the performance of existing dashboards as well as work with engineers to develop standards and best practices.
Perform Tableau Administrator duties such as installation, upgrades, and OKTA configuration as well as manage end user security and licensing to ensure SOX/HIPAA/PCI compliance as well as data security and governance
Create/Manage Sites, Folders, Sub-folders, Groups, Workbooks and Projects, Database Views, Data Sources, and Data Connections
Collect and monitor the metrics necessary to quantify Tableau server performance and forecast future capacity needs
Design, test, implement and manage data infrastructure processes to include, but not limited to data collection, scrubbing, extraction, transformation and load (ETL) functionality, data warehousing, data analytics, data visualization and reporting
Develop and document standards and best practices to support Tableau development and administration
Recruits, screens, and interviews candidates; Conducts training of others;
This position will report to the IT Manager Integration who reports to the CDIO.
Must be able to work independently to proactively monitor the Tableau environment and make or suggest improvements to the over end-user experience. Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills as the role will be to work directly with analysts and business users to help gather requirements to deliver a quality experience.
- Comfortable working in an Agile-based environment
- Strong understanding of Cloud infrastructure (AWS).
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Strong SQL query skills
- Quality understanding of data structures both relational and dimensional.
Preferred candidate will be located in either Tampa, FL or Charlotte, NC but remote is possible. There may be some after hours work necessary for upgrades and implementations and occasionally after hours support.

High school diploma/GED required, Bachelor’s degree preferred
Tableau Certified Associate preferred.
2 Years Tableau administration
3 – 5 Years Tableau administration preferred.
Knowledge of the insurance industry is a plus.
