Process Overview*
- BIST function provides support to applications Utilized by business and technology analysts from the various home office locations and LOBs.
- The Management Information Decision Analysis and Support system (MIDAS) is a single integrated GWIM data warehouse. BIST team is mainly responsible for maintaining and supporting MIDAS.
- BIST team also take care of handling data in MIDAS through the tools like Data stage and Cognos.
- Adhoc and Scheduled reports are generated for Management to do the further business analysis and for better decision making. BIST provide also support analytical applications which enable greater capabilities in the areas of predictive and actionable analytics.
- BIST support various applications which helps to understand the financial positions of the client and FA production credit.
Job Description*
- Individual will be involved to develop the code in Hadoop. He / She will be involved in Development activities and maintenance activities as per Bank of America standards and guidelines. Individual will be responsible for understanding requirements, work with onshore team in design discussion, propose high level and detailed design solutions and propose out of box technical solutions for resolving business problems. We follow agile management, Agile & Scrum delivery methodologies, with a focus on delivering value to our users. The resource should have excellent documentation, analysis, and communication skills. Exposure to BI reporting will be an added advantage.
Responsibilities*
- Development activities like design, analysis, coding, unit testing, SIT & UAT Support, propose improvement ideas, drive the development activities at offshore.
- Take accountability of the technical deliveries from offshore.
- Work with the support teams like QA & Production Support teams during the post code development phase.
- Identify improvement areas within the application and work with the respective teams to implement the same.
- Ensuring adherence to defined process & quality standards, best practices, high quality levels in all deliverables.
- Experience with Scrum/Agile development methodologies.
- Excellent debugging and problem-solving skills.
- Should be dedicated to learning the existing Application functionality and becoming Subject Matter Experts.
- Own the task assigned and keep all the stakeholders informed about the status.
- Flexible to work in the US overlap time zone (11PM to 8PM).

- BE/ B-Tech or MCA or as per company standards.
- Certifications If Any: NA.
Experience Range*
- 02 to 05 Years.
Foundational Skills*
- Technology – Hadoop (Hive, Impala, Spark, Python (is plus)), UNIX, Autosys & BI reporting exposure.
- Should be able to work independently with minimum guidance.
- Create & update complex SQL queries.
Desired Skills*
- Good database knowledge.
- Data warehousing knowledge.
- Experience with CI/CD tools like bitbucket, jenkins, ansible etc.
- Functional knowledge on various Wealth management products, business policies, various financial performance metrics are highly desirable.
Work Timings*
- 11.00 AM – 8.00 PM IST Ready to work on production support (if required).
- Ready to work on weekends (if required).
