Provides technical and analytical support in a GWIM operations function for one or more product areas such as funds transfer, collateral mgt/margins, corporate actions, static data/data management, control, trader support, clearance/settlement, documentation/confirmations, customer service, new accounts, client valuations, document processing or statement/billing processing. Responsible for the analysis and resolution of moderately complex operations problems and initiatives requiring exception handling and working with multiple operational and/or product specialists to resolve. May participate in projects and/or introduction of new initiatives, systems, products/services, and processes. As a technical expert, acts as a unit advisor providing technical support to less experienced associates. This role typically requires 3+ years’ experience in operations functions and a thorough working knowledge of the operational aspects of transactions and products.
LOB Description:
The Client Data & Project Enablement team executes projects in support of the overall Wealth Management data strategy, which focusses on solutions on how Global Wealth Management (GWM) gathers, stores, and maintains client data. This role will be responsible for managing and overseeing day to day activities for the Client Data & Project Enablement efforts inclusive of project requirements/Epic grooming in support of development, testing, and communications related processes for client onboarding, maintenance, data, documentation, and terms & conditions related initiatives for the Merrill and Private Bank lines of business and select front line units supporting such processes.
This position is critical to provide the necessary support and coordination to meet project analyst deadlines for related projects and overall strategic initiatives. The position requires the ability to build and maintain relationships with internal and external business partners within the Business, Operations, Technology, and/or Legal and Compliance.
The duties of this role include, but are not limited to:
- Leading multiple projects and priorities at the same time while managing all deliverables, including process or project analysis and assessments, requirements gathering/authoring, project testing, defect reporting, implementation testing, risk assessment, and drafting communications in support of the technology change efforts.
- Working with business and technology to understand requests and initiatives that may arise to ensure the successful planning and implementation of projects and initiatives.
- Ability to develop strong partnerships and relationships including full coordination with business partners, operations, and technology; fully accountable for engaging the appropriate partners to drive the work and deliver against expected outcomes.
- Works independently, detail oriented, capable of working in a production environment and managing to deadlines and drives for results.
- Strong facilitation skills, communication with impact, cross functional business, and senior stakeholder engagement.
- Must be highly motivated, possess mature business judgment, and be proactive.
Required Skills:
- 1+ years of experience in private bank operations or project enablement (business analysis, process design and project management, including development of formal business requirements and business process flows as well as functional requirements for technology solutions)
- Brokerage or Investment Management Business or Support Experience
- Excellent verbal and written communications skills, including the ability to facilitate remote, cross-functional, cross-location meetings and the ability to develop and deliver management presentations
- Ability to effectively build and maintain strong internal/external relationships with multiple partners on multiple sites and courage to influence and challenge when necessary
- Ability to host WebEx meetings and teleconference/telepresence meetings
- Ability to work during weekends during releases
Desired Skills:
- Familiarity with Private Bank Client Onboarding and Maintenance systems supporting Wealth Management products
- Series 7 FINRA General Securities Representative license
- Six Sigma Green Belt Certification
- Agile Product Owner or Scrum Certifications
