Job Description:

Responsible for handling customer complaints who have contacted the bank through high risk channels. Required to solve problems and investigate/resolve a wide variety of issues and requests that include gathering additional information, setting expectations and working with other support organizations to fulfill the request. Adheres to established service level agreements. Handle escalated issues by successfully navigating the organization, while mastering multiple systems to resolve customer requests. Accountable for the successful resolution of all customer requests or hand offs to the appropriate executive channel. Typically requires the ability to work independently, takes initiative to enhance job/system knowledge and displays sound leadership skills. The incumbent will take appropriate action based on transaction characteristics & account changes with indicators of extremely complex issues related to all claims types. Complex decisions are made based on analytical research and judgment. Requires extensive experience and must follow established procedures & guidelines, while utilizing multiple systems & tools. Provides coaching and training to other associates. Ensures compliance with Federal and Bank Regulations. Excellent communication and follow up skills required. To appropriately investigate and decision claim, incumbent will interact with multiple business partners. Customer communication includes claim education, setting appropriate expectations or skillfully denying the claim.

Required Skills: “Must” have these skills to be minimally qualified.

  • Must have 1+ years of claims experience along with working knowledge of applicable regulations.
  • Must be considered a Subject Matter Expert in Prepaid Fraud and/or Billing Dispute claim types
  • Ability to effectively communicate and partner with all levels of leadership across multiple lines of business (verbal and written).
  • Strong Critical thinking skills; detail oriented with ability to problem solve.
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Power Point and Excel.
  • Strong analytical skills; ability to analyze data and identify trends
  • Strong time management and organizational skills; ability to prioritize work to meet deadlines
  • Ability to work independently and as a member of a team.

Desired Skills:

  • Experience processing merchant representments and arbitration cases.
  • Demonstrated strategic thinking skills
  • Lead or perform complex analysis to make change recommendations to processes.
