The eFX RTB team is accountable for all technology services associated with eFX platform globally. The team is responsible for managing the availability of mission-critical services, working closely with the business facing client support team, and driving continuous improvement of stability, quality, and efficiency through effective service management and reliability engineering. The eFX franchise is a key revenue generating part of the business and providing a first class support, and an available and resilient service is paramount to the team’s purpose.
What will you be doing?
- Contribute toward critical team accountabilities and deliverables including availability and stability of the eFX platforms, capturing incidents and resolving issues in a timely manner.
- Develop a deep understanding of the eFX business systems, including the front-back processes and technology services (applications and infrastructure) supporting the businesses.
- Involvement in major incidents and operational issues impacting the business, including recovery / resolution.
- Produce ad-hoc reporting or MI for both IT and business stakeholders
- Participate in build out of ITRS monitoring capabilities
- Constantly seek areas of improvement, creating documentation or process automation
- Collaborate with technology teams across applications and infrastructure to deliver ‘production ready’ bug fixes and enhancements.
- Partner with the business and key stakeholders, keeping aligned to business direction, growth and strategic initiatives, whilst influencing decisions that positively impact the stability, quality and efficiency of service.
- Deliver a ‘best-in-class’ service to Clients, Trading and Sales, consistently meeting and exceeding their expectations ina high pressured environment.
- Act as a Continuous Service Improvement champion, embracing innovation, automation and process optimisation to exceed business expectations through improved service quality and operational efficiency.
What we’re looking for:
- Strong working knowledge of Unix environment
- Working knowledge of shell/perl/python scripting.
- Ability to read and write complex PL/SQL queries.
- Excellent knowledge of incident, problem, change, capacity, resilience, monitoring and automation, with a proven track-record of delivering improvements to the overall stability, quality and efficiency of service.
- Strong knowledge ITIL processes with experience implementing Service Design and Service Transition.
- Strong communication, negotiation and influencing skills.
- Highly collaborative and can build strong relationships at all levels of the technology and business organisation.
Skills that will help you in the role:
- Ability to write scripts in shell/perl/python.
- Knowledge and understanding of at least one Markets business, Rates, Credit, Securitized Products, Foreign Exchange, Equities Derivatives, Equities Cash or Primes Services. Experience within that asset in the e-Trading space.
- Experience implementing monitoring, performance and observability tools like ITRS, AppD & Elastic.
- Experience using scripting languages to deliver automation and process optimisation.
- Working knowledge of software application development practices and technologies.
- Working knowledge of core infrastructure including Cloud, Networks, Middleware and Databases
