Senior Business Analyst

As a Barclays Senior Business Analyst, you will manage the delivery of critical projects for the US Cash Equities Markets business (Front Office Trading). Your new team provides coverage for Cash and Prime business (Portfolio, Single Stock and Electronic trading). Our team belongs to the Cash Equities area and provides coverage for Cash and Prime business (Portfolio, Single Stock and Electronic trading). We partner closely with the heads of the businesses in order to deliver market leading platforms to meet our clients’ needs.

What will you be doing?
- You will serve as a Business Analyst and also Project Manager, duties include execution workflows, order management, exchange, and client connectivity
- You will be taking full ownership and in-depth knowledge of application functionality required to train and on-board new users in workings of equities applications
- Writing business and integration requirements documents using the Confluence/Wiki approach aligning Agile / sprint-based development methodology
- Creating detailed GUI mock-ups and other visual requirements to be presented alongside user requirements to development teams and key stakeholders
- Working with software development teams to ensure user requirements are clearly understood and developed as specified in the documentation
- Participating in development staff planning as they write functional and design specifications to govern field, message, and user interface level details
- You will be gathering development and testing estimates and including these in formal project plans, in addition, you will work on release planning of projects
- You will conduct functional testing and perform user acceptance testing (UAT), you will also document use-cases regarding regression test suite
What we’re looking for:
- Leadership and interpersonal skills are required, as this role involves collaboration with Front Office, Middle Office/Operations, Compliance and Technology teams
- This role will require clear communication, proven decision making, excellent analytical skills and evaluative judgement
- The candidate will have experience in project management, and solving complex problems, duties also include regulatory reporting obligations and project financials
- You must have an extremely high attention to detail, overall, should be confident, enthusiastic, and proactive
Skills that will help you in the role:
- Ability to write high quality Business Requirement Documents and Functional Specs
that are clear and concise enough for both traders and developers to follow
- Ability to build good relationships with senior stakeholders across Front Office, Business and Technology Functions
- You will show Proficiency in Unix and SQL, you will utilize PowerPoint, Excel, JIRA, Confluence, Lean Control, Agile methodologies
Where will you be working?
You will be working at our Americas Headquarters at 745 Seventh Avenue. This 32-story office tower is located in Times Square in the heart of Manhattan and features a cafeteria, fitness center and state-of-the-art LED signage on the facade of the building.
