Products, R&D and Production business function is responsible for ensuring that Basware continues to provide its customers with industry leading SaaS solutions to simplify operations and spend smarter. This global function creates and executes the product strategy, new product innovations, roadmap, design, product development and product launches for Basware’s global product portfolio. Together with other Basware units, Products, R&D and Production ensures that our customers can successfully meet their business objectives through cooperating with Basware and using our product and service portfolio.
Role Summary:
Senior Cloud Operations Engineer/ Data Analyst, Cloud Operations will
- Run predefined analysis scripts and interpreting the results for our sales organization
- Configure and deploy machine learning models to cloud
- Monitor and deploy models and take corrective actions based on performance deviation
- Contribute to development of the ML deployment workflow
This member will be the go-to-person for managing significant service events where technical domain knowledge and overall customer facing experience and strong communications skills are required.
Trainings, coaching and guidance for the other junior engineers. Should be able to coordinate with other engineers taking a lead role in case of critical operations cases such as handling problem investigations, production service changes and development of new processes.
SKILLS & REQUIREMENTS
Our cloud applications are hosted on top of AWS Public Cloud and are used by our clients all around the world. We develop our applications by using technologies like Angular, TypeScript, .NET, Python, Java and RabbitMQ. We use following state-of-the-art tools to develop and deliver our applications into production: Git, Stash, Jira, Confluence, Jenkins and Docker. We also follow modern DevOps culture in everyday work we do and utilize DevOps practices like continuous integration and continuous delivery in building our Microservice based applications.
Technical competencies:
- Prior experience with database and model design and segmentation techniques
- Technical writing experience in relevant areas, including queries, reports and presentations
- Automation Skills using Powershell, Python etc.
- Incident Management tools – ServiceNow
- Project Management tools – Jira
- Documentation tools – Confluence
- Cloud Platform – Basic understanding of Amazon Web Services
- Operating systems – Windows Server, Linux/Unix
Role experience
- High level of mathematical ability for analyzing, modeling and interpreting data with high precision
Experience in SQL, Databases and Python language - Experience in visual ETL tools
- Experience in driving investigations in time critical situations
- Proven analytical and investigative skills
- Self-sufficient, with a pro-active attitude and ability to prioritize and manage workload effectively
- Proficient English language skills
- Experience working in ITIL practices
Experience working with and coordinating cross functional teams operating across different regions and time zones. - Good team player
Good-to-have competencies and experience:
Technical Skills
- ITIL Foundation certification
- Basics understanding of CI/CD pipeline
Education: Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in a Mathematics and/or Technology field.
Experience: 6 to 8 years of experience in production support and IT management.
