Associate Manager – Consumer Insights (Nutrition)
YOUR TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The primary responsibilities of this role, “Associate Manager – Consumer Insights (Nutrition)”, are to:
Key Tasks:
- Partner with the multi-functional brand team to formulate, identify and gather the right business questions;
- Prioritize strategic opportunities that fuel category and business growth;
- Identify any gaps in existing knowledge and understanding;
- Lead the insights discovery process to close the learning gap that can drive the strategic business choices for growth;
- Manage consumer insights learning and experimentation for assigned priority areas;
- Execute and analyze brand equity and awareness research and find opportunities for brand improvement;
- Uncover new behaviors through observable trends in experiments, benefits, consumer cohorts, etc.;
- Prioritize and manage base business plan learning and experimentation plan for assigned priority areas;
- Leverage story telling expertise to combine disparate pieces of data and insights into a holistic story;
- Manage the identification of future trends/needs/barriers impacting the consumer across the different touchpoints of the consumer journey;
- Uncover new language/lexicon that can improve the quality of communication and messaging;
- Work with Media activation team to create and experiment with new audiences that can grow penetration for brands and bring incremental consumer segments to brands;
- Partner with Enterprise Business Intelligence, Advanced Analytics and Data Science to translate and connect analysis into business recommendations (strategy and tactics);
- Partner with Behavioral Science Unit to systemically apply cognitive biases, heuristics, and other knowledge into plans for growth;
- Elevate consumer closeness IQ in the organization by designing programs and activities that creates joined ownership of consumer voice.

Required qualifications:
Qualification & Competencies:
- Bachelor degree;
- Four years of customer research experience preferred with an emphasis on cultivating consumer insights to drive category innovation;
- Serve as an integrative thinker with a strong business acumen and courage to ask even the most difficult questions;
- Demonstrate knowledge of brand building frameworks and base business planning;
- Excellent communication skills;
- Serve as a change agent, question status quo, and offer solutions;
- Understand social, psychological, and cultural trends that drive consumer behavior and brand preference;
- Manage research plan and budget;
- Demonstrate superior analytic skills with the ability to simplify the complex;
- Provide strong collaboration mindset, ability to rally people around the consumer and business needs;
- Excellent visualization skills to create compelling stories and narratives;
- Provide knowledge of Digital/Performance marketing to help with insights transferability and application with Media team;
- Demonstrate fit to win skills;
- Identify applications for big data and advanced analytics use in cases and layering the whys’ behind to maximize impact for the business.
