Roles and Responsibilities
- Help build a vibrant analytics practice for the deal advisory business
- Provide support to expand out the analytics offerings of the group and implement the key capabilities
- Creates dynamic financial analysis reports for presentations to assist target clients in evaluating M&A decisions
- Be the key member who can contribute in development of key analytics offerings, and drive increased adoption of analytics
- Ability to execute high complexity projects on end- to-end basis. Drive additional analysis where required on complex engagements
- Correlate broader industry trends with the findings from the data using secondary research, third party databases and business knowledge
- Lead complex storyboarding and overall problem-solving approach to develop recommendations.
Desired Candidate Profile
Education:
- Bachelor’s/Masters degree from a reputed institute in Data Science, Data Analytics, Finance, Accounting, Business Administration/Management, Economics, Statistics, Computer and Information Science, Management Information Systems, Engineering, Mathematics
Experience:
- A total of 3 years of work experience in analytics with strong knowledge Power BI, Python and Azure
Preferred Skills:
We are looking for individuals who demonstrate knowledge and/or a proven record of success in one or both of the following areas:
Technical:
- Knowledge of modern big data approaches preferred: e.g., PySpark, Apache Spark, Azure Databricks, Azure SQL, Azure ML, R, Python etc.
- Working knowledge of performing data ETL (Extract, Transform and Load), and experience with SQL, Alteryx, and Power Query
- Strong proficiency in managing and generating insights from large volumes of data using ETL tools & presenting them through visualization tools (Power BI, Tableau)
- Knowledge and experience using Python, R, and SQL for analysis etc.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office products including Excel, Word, PowerPoint
- Exposure to analytics methodologies such as Regression (Linear, Logistic, etc.), Cluster Analysis, CART/CHAID, etc.
Business:
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Deep understanding of dimensional database structures and principals
- Self-motivated learner who continually tracks new developments in the field
- Ability to analyze large volumes of data to identify potential issues and propose the most appropriate resolutions to benefit the buyer/Seller
- Ability to unearth targeted commercial insights through a blend of industry specific experience and cutting-edge data science techniques
- Ability to maintain the highly confidential nature of information
- Excellent project management skills with ability to produce quality work project with an attention to detail
- Ability to interact with and adapt communication style to successfully convey messaging and objectives to all levels of management
- Capable of working in a demanding, deadline-driven environment either independently or within a team dynamic while effectively managing unexpected issues and/or questions in a professional manner
