Job Summary
Key Responsibilities
Primary role is to contribute to technical due diligence engagements for solar PV projects by completing energy yield assessments for each solar PV projects on behalf of lenders and investors, and generating standardized sections, covering the results of the yield analysis and the design of the project, for the overall report. This position will work in a supporting role to a multi-disciplinary and international team of Independent Engineering and Technical Due Diligence consultants, under the guidance of a regional coordinator.
The candidate will play a key role on a team of engineers, consultants, and financial analysts. Personnel in this practice generally work on multiple concurrent projects at a given time. This position will report to the Strategic Advisory team within Black & Veatch Management Consulting.
Key Responsibilities
Use PVSyst or similar PV yield analysis packages to generate energy yield analyses, using Black & Veatch’s approved methodologies.
Complete standardized sections of reports, describing the design of the solar PV project and the results of its yield analysis.
Review design drawings and technical aspects of utility interconnection agreements and offtaker agreements
Develop a general understanding of electric power commercial and regulatory practices.
Develop clear and concise reports and presentations.
Contribute to multiple projects at any given time.
Organize reports and data in a centralized database

Management Responsibilities
Preferred Qualifications
Undergraduate degree in Electrical or Renewable Energy Engineering.
At least 2 years of experience with one or more solar PV energy yield assessment platforms, specifically including PVSyst.
General knowledge solar PV technology and plant design.
General knowledge of solar resource datasets and their respective strengths and weaknesses.
Experience with Python, PowerBI and PowerApps or other tools that facilitate automation of analysis and reporting will be highly regarded
Human relations skills including collaboration and team functions, particularly in a remote working environment.
Exhibits high ethical standards and maintains a reputation of integrity
Ability to interface with multiple projects, offices and cultures.
Ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple priorities.
High level of attention to detail.
Process-oriented.
Accountability for on time, on quality delivery.
