Under general direction, gathers and analyzes data to help the business make informed decisions and/or meet regulatory and accreditation requirements.

Works closely with the Manager, Quantitative and Qualitative Research and the Market Research Analyst, Association to conduct surveys, analyze results and communicate those results to internal clients.

Job Description

  • Manage advisory panels and focus groups, works with external vendors, when needed, for recruitment, facility rental, audiovisual needs, moderation and transcripts.
  • Manage online surveys using the Qualtrics system, includes programming, testing, list management, and reporting of results through dashboards and reports.
  • Assist with Blue Intelligence Group (BIG) requests. Participates in the BIG group by forwarding requests from other Blue Plans to the appropriate Blue KC personnel and managing the response and tracking of those requests and sending out BIG requests from Blue KC internal clients.
  • Manage the Blue KC Listens member panel. Assists with ideas that will help the business, turn those ideas into online surveys administered in Qualtrics, analyze and communicate the results to appropriate internal personnel. In addition to managing panel invites and newsletters.
  • Manage vendors for quantitative research: Works with vendors to receive project bids, questionnaire design, project updates and final reports.
  • Assist with regularity requirements. Helps ensure research is conducted and reports are written to meet regularity and accreditation needs.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Enrolled at an accredited university or college and have a minimum grade point average of 3.0
  • Pursuing a BA/BS/MA/MS/MBA degree in one of the following fields: Marketing Research, Business, Statistics or Advertising
  • Must have relevant degree or area of study applicable to the internship position.
  • Completion of sophomore year of education is required
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office applications (Word, PowerPoint, Excel)

Preferred Qualifications

  • Knowledge of Marketing Research Methodologies and Techniques
  • Knowledge of Qualtrics or other marketing research applications
  • Knowledge of the health insurance industry
