A day in the life
The Senior Data Integrity Analyst is responsible for collaborating with stakeholders to define requirements for new data assets and complex project requests. This role translates requirements into use cases, identifies data mapping and translations required, and provides insights into validation strategies. The Senior Data Integrity Analyst facilitates the identification of business processes with technical aspects to define impact and remediation approaches for data integrity issues. This role leads the project team through the project delivery. The Senior Data Integrity Analyst is responsible for the identification and implementation of standards, processes, and technologies to support capturing data requirements, data governance, and project delivery. For data governance, this role collaborates with leadership to define the program needs and implementation. The Senior Data Integrity Analyst leads data governance stakeholders through data activities. Research and data analysis are key traits for success in this role, along with certification in data management or governance.
Your responsibilities will include
- Acts as a liaison between the data management services team, business stakeholders, and senior leaders to provide support for project deliverables and data governance programs.
- Provides advanced analysis for business requirements, identifies data sources, and defines data mapping and data translation requirements. Defines standards, processes, or procedures for data management services.
- Documents data user stories, business requirements, data flows, and data mappings to support the development of complex extract, transform, load (ETL) programs, data files, and other data assets.
- Documents advanced processes for data quality and verification approaches, including automated validation and verification steps of ETL processing needed.
- Provides technical leadership within the data services team and business, including facilitation of design reviews, team reviews of data verification test results, and results of data integrity programs.
- Assists leadership with the research, identification, selection, and support of technologies, tools, and data management solutions.
- Analyzes and documents complex data modifications for project and production system changes by defining impacts, requirements, and changes in data assets or ETL programs.
- Partners with leaders to develop and lead overall data governance programs and plans.
- Leads educational sessions across Blue Cross Blue Shield of North Dakota (BCBSND) on enterprise, data assets and tools, and overall capabilities to expand the company’s use of data as a strategic enabler of corporate goals and objectives.
What you need to succeed
- Bachelor’s degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics or related field
- 5 years of experience with data analysis, data mapping, and data validation required, preferably within healthcare or working with healthcare processes.
- Experience with SQL programming.
- Business intelligence, analytics, data mining, visualization development, report writing, or related.
- Preferred experience with data integrity programs and processes, but not required.
- DAMA Certified Data Management Professional (CDMP) or Data Governance and Stewardship Professional (DGSP) certification, preferred
- Advanced ability to think analytically
- Attention to detail and accuracy
- Focus on business, research and data analytics
- Ability to lead, coach and mentor team members

Job Posting Policy
