Position Purpose
The mission of RISK Global Markets (“RISK GM”) is to provide Senior Management of the Group, of the RISK Function and of Global Markets (“GM”) with full transparency and dynamic analysis with respect to the market, counterparty, valuation and liquidity risks originated and managed by CIB GM, in order to assist them in their risk decision making. Since late 2020, the department has been organised with distinct streams dedicated to risk analysis, models & methodologies and services. The mission of RISK GM Services is to provide high quality input to RISK GM analysts and Management, support them in monitoring and anticipating risks related to Global Markets activities, provide them with tools to achieve their mission and lead or contribute to projects on behalf of RISK GM. Within this stream, RISK GM Metrics acts as a centre of expertise covering market, counterparty and liquidity risks metrics, contributing to the analysis and anticipation of Global Markets risks. The organization is articulated around two main “pillars” on market and counterparty risks, while offering team members the opportunity to work transversally across topics
This specific role is located within the RISK GM Metrics APAC (Mumbai) team and is primarily focussed on contribution to transversal and automation tasks. This role will partner with other teams within RISK GM to facilitate automation of existing manual processes, setting up of new report, monitoring improvements.
The successful candidate will join the team to manage key objectives of improving overall team contribution with automation and to provide a high quality of risk monitoring and reporting controls.
Roles and Responsibilities
Direct Responsibilities
- Implement a resilient operational setup to be prepared in case of disruption events (such as power failure) to minimize the repercussions on workload
- Be attentive to respect the SLAs in place and abide by the conditions stated in them
- To ensure the team follows strictly the RISK GM procedures as well as the RACIs defined globally
- Timely and accurate production of the various reports assigned to the team (including daily risk limit reports)
- Daily analysis of risk variations for each business activity in scope in order to detect risk quality issues
- To track and improve the quality of the production through regular interaction with RISK GM teams and notification at the relevant forums
- Take ownership of production tasks as delegated by RISK GM APAC teams
- Streamline, harmonize and industrialize all delegated production tasks in an effort to increase efficiency and achieve synergies across GBL and regions through automation and innovation
- Maintain a close working relationship with regional RISK GM teams and the rest of the RISK GM Metrics teams outside APAC
- Maintain a collaborative relationship through clear and precise communication with GM especially in the context of the daily limit reports
- Develop and maintain a good understanding of market, liquidity and counterparty risks
- Develop closer interaction with RCA and GM IT teams and look for new ways to work together and transform positively the production process
- Act as the main coordinator within RISK GM Metrics for transversal initiatives around these two specific axes
BCP Responsibilities
- Responsible for overall BCM Programme of your Department to ensure their business continues when BCP is invoked. (BCM strategy, solution, documentation, Testing etc.)
- Responsible for designing, maintaining and organising BCM documentations (BIA, BC Plan, Call Tree list etc.) and testing of BC Plans and solutions (BCP testing, Call tree testing, participation in various level BCP & DR testing)
