The Opportunity:
As a data scientist, you’re excited at the prospect of unlocking the secrets held by a data set, and you’re fascinated by the possibilities presented by IoT, machine learning, and artificial intelligence. In an increasingly connected world, massive amounts of structured and unstructured data open new opportunities. As a data scientist, you can help turn these complex data sets into useful information to solve global challenges. Across private and public sectors from fraud detection to cancer research, to national intelligence, we need you to help find the answers in the data.
On our team, you’ll use your analytical skills and data science knowledge to create real-world impact. You’ll work closely with your clients to understand their questions and needs, and then dig into their data-rich environments to find the pieces of their information puzzle. You’ll develop algorithms and systems and use the right combination of tools and frameworks to turn sets of disparate data points into objective answers to help clients make informed decisions. Ultimately, you’ll provide a deep understanding of the data, what it all means, and how it can be used. This position is a hybrid role with a combination of working at a Booz Allen office or client site and working remotely.

You Have:
- 2+ years of experience in data science, data analytics, epidemiology or statistical analysis, or data research roles
- Experience with quantitative public health analysis
- Experience with using national public health data sets or real world clinical data
- Experience in working independently with self-directed work
- Ability to obtain a security clearance
- Bachelor’s degree
Nice If You Have:
- 3+ years of experience with implementing creative machine learning solutions, ideally in the context of health or service systems
- Experience with big data
- Experience with creating data infrastructure models and workflows, and implementing them in client systems
- Experience with machine learning packages, including Keras, Pandas, TensorFlow, or NumPy
- Experience with creating data infrastructure models and implementing them in client systems
- Experience with data analysis for health organizations, including FDA, NIH, and commercial
- Experience with managing disparate data sources, including preprocessing and cleansing
- Knowledge of machine learning and deep learning techniques, their theoretical bases, performance evaluation strategies, and necessary assumptions and limitations
- Ability to work independently to achieve results with minimal guidance

The salary for this position will be determined based on various factors. The proposed salary range for this position in Colorado is 90,000 to 140,000.
