Job Location: Washington, DC
Key Role:
Provide support to the data engineering activities on some of the most mission-driven projects in the industry. Drive the development of data products and to design and stand-up big data platforms. Define data engineering standards and approaches to leading the assessment, design, building, and maintenance of scalable platforms. Guide the stakeholders to solve their most pressing challenges. This position is a hybrid role with a combination of working at a Booz Allen office or client site and working remotely.
Basic Qualifications:
- 2+ years of experience with data analysis or software engineering and designing and building data pipelines
- Experience with data architecture, analytics, data modeling, or database design
- Knowledge of the implementation and tuning of big data architectures
- Ability to develop software code with object-oriented programing languages, including Java, C++, or C# Java and scripting languages, including Python, R, Bash, Batch, or PowerShell
- Ability to create new data architectures to support enterprise needs from streaming analytics and data marts to cloud-based applications, including automation and machine learning model deployment
- Ability to develop and support distributed systems, including enterprise cloud architectures, including AWS, Azure, or Open Stack
- Ability to demonstrate expertise in facilitating information discovery sessions with business leaders to extract all appropriate terminology and context
- Ability to use documentation expertise focusing on accuracy, consistency, and standardized terminology
- Bachelorโs degree in Engineering or Computer Science
Additional Qualifications:
- Experience with data management in support of delivering high value analytics and supporting data intensive applications
- Experience in working with data management concepts and activities, including industry best practices for Data Sourcing, Key Data Elements, Data Quality Management, Metadata, and Enterprise Data Management Policy, Process, and Procedures
- Experience with big data technologies, including Sqoop, Flume, NiFi, Kinesis, Kafka, Elasticsearch, DeltaLake, Hive, Pig, or ERM
- Experience with carrying out or managing data migrations and integration
- Experience with the Medical Product or Healthcare domains and with the design and use of relational and non-relational database systems
- Experience with Informatica IDQ, EDC, or MDM and with Mulesoft or other API platforms
- Ability to provide thought-leadership to clients across business and technical project dimensions solving complex business requirements
- Ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with internal teams on solution design, including experience working with data science and BI teams
- Masterโs degree in Engineering or Computer Science

The salary for this position will be determined based on various factors. The proposed salary range for this position in Colorado is $70,000 to $130,000.
