WHAT YOU’LL DO
Be part of a team that is transforming BCG into a bionic company! We are building a centralized Business Intelligence & Analytics function that will simplify and automate information delivery—providing advanced insights and analysis to support decision making. To date, the team has launched and operationalized a portfolio global scale analytics products and dashboards, enhancing how our leaders engage in information to manage the business. Our goal is to put powerful insights in the hands of decision makers and to lead the organization in best-in-class practices for developing and delivering BI&A assets.
The Product Owner in Enablement will work as an integral part of an Agile team. This role will work closely with the business, leadership teams and the BIA team—representing the “voice of the customer” by defining, maintaining, and prioritizing the list of potential innovations (product backlog) to ensure that the Agile team is working on stories that maximize business value and deliver necessary functionality to targeted customers. This role will help to lead design and implementation of the next wave of digital dashboards used by the Partners and Functional leaders globally. This individual will work with the business to design best-in-class analytics and visualization to drive actionable insights and will work closely with the technical team to execute the vision. In additional, this person will play a key role in the change management—working with stakeholders on adoption, enablement, and on-going enhancements.
The Product Owner must be a leader who is customer-centric and enjoys working with teams to design and deliver exceptional products to customers. You will lead a Squad and work directly with its members to prioritize and manage what needs to be done and by when. You will empower the team to deliver. You will also partner with the other Product Owners and Chapter Leads within BI&A to build out sustainable, secure and scalable best practices that can be shared and amplified with other teams outside the Tribe to uplift the quality and standards for BI&A asset development. You will coordinate closely with your Tribe Lead to stay aligned on business goals and make sure your Squad is progressing and delivering against them. You will own and prioritize the backlog of user stories that your Squad members will use to inform their work, and be responsible for supporting and motivating your squad members
Among your responsibilities, you will:

Deliver business results and customer value
- Ensure that the product is built in an incremental way, releasing new working features at the end of each squad and creating value for the customer
- Tracking product performance to inform future work
- Deliver specific and measurable KPIs to be defined for your Squad
- Managing relevant product budget process and supporting Tribe Lead in engaging with funding process

Serve as the voice of customer or end-user
- Translating the voice and needs of customers into user stories, engaging users as needed
- Engaging in continuous discovery (e.g., via surveys & interviews) to understand customer needs
- Leveraging empirical and qualitative data to assess feature performance and inform prioritization
- Determining tradeoffs involving customer value, cost, and speed to execution
- Representing customer needs to ensure they are understood and integrated into the Squad’s work
- Proactively seeking customer feedback to learn and better understand their needs and requirements
- Facilitating product demos to empower Squad members with real-time feedback from customers

Oversee what is delivered by the Squad and when
- Prioritizing work through a well-organized backlog of user stories and clearly communicating what needs to be done and by when
- Defining and clearly communicating acceptance criteria for output based on business & customer needs

Support and enabling the Squad to get its work done
- Regularly engaging with the Squad to offer feedback on work-in-progress and clarify requirements
- Engaging with Chapter Leads regarding resourcing and functional expertise required in Squad
- Providing feedback as part of performance management of Squad members and other members of the Tribe

Set an overall vision to direct and inform the Squad’s work
- Working closely with the Tribe Lead to understand and drive alignment on the Tribe’s business strategy, goals, and objectives
- Translating Tribe objectives into a clear vision (e.g., via KPIs, sprint goals) for your Squad to inform the creation and prioritization of the Squad’s backlog of work
- Sharing information about the Squad’s output and priorities with other Product Owners to ensure alignment across the organization

YOU BRING (EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS)
- Total 10+ years’ relevant experience as Product Owner, including preferably also experience as Scrum Master or Agile Coach/ Mentor in 1 or more organizations
- Agile Certifications, preferably Scrum.org (Professional Scrum Product Owner) or Scrum Alliance (Certified Product Owner)
- Understanding of agile principles and ways of working
- Good understanding of technology enabled business transformation, Digital transformation, Organizational transformation, delivering enterprise-level IT and Digital projects
- Divergent thinker who can converge ideas into tangible products
- Exceptional communications and stakeholder management skills
- Experience in consulting is a plus
YOU’LL WORK WITH
- Every member of your squad, for which you will be its servant leader
- Internal customers, translating their voice and needs into user stories and engaging users as needed
- Tribe Leaders, who will set the vision, roadmap, budget, and priorities & OKRs for the tribes and subsequently, for the squads
- Scrum Masters, which will act as your right hand to remove impediments and will assess you in dealing with the different artifacts and ceremonies
- Other Product Owners within BCG, to share best practices and ensure alignment between squads and a culture
- Agile Coaches, with whom you will share passion about Agile ways of working and with whom you will shape promote business agility (within your teams and in the whole company)
