WHAT YOULL DO
As a part of BCGs GAMMA A team you will work closely with consulting teams on a diverse range of advanced topics. You will have the opportunity to leverage products to deliver value to BCG’s Consulting & GAMMA (case) teams, GAMMA Product teams and Practice Areas (domain) through providing software developer subject matter expertise, and accelerated execution support.
You will collaborate with teams to gather requirements and support software solutions serving client needs. You will provide technical support through deeper understanding of relevant software solutions and business processes to deliver high quality and efficient delivery.
YOURE GOOD AT
Product Development
- Design highly available, fault-tolerant and streaming products to handle real-time, voluminous text;
- Use mathematics, statistics, and machine learning techniques to develop algorithms to extract information from textual data
- Select appropriate annotated datasets for Supervised Learning methods, Find and implement the right algorithms and tools for NLP tasks
- Remain up to date on industry research and new techniques in natural language processing (NLP) and conduct research to determine if new techniques improve the product
- Contributes to teams content & IP development
Problem solving & Business Requirement gathering
- Strong in solutioning with hands-on experience in develop proprietary text classification software that uses machine learning technology to extract, analyze, and classify information from unstructured textual data for the services industry
- Establish as a go-to expert for case/topic teams; Guide case teams in selecting an analytics approach; Brand ambassador for analytics in BCG (Proposals, Demos, PoCs, Networking with case teams, etc.)
- Work with project stakeholders to identify business needs and gather requirements for data analysis or deployment of already existing advanced analytics solutions and BI tools
- Collaborate with project team members in writing prioritized business requirements documentation, including scope definition and statement of work
Technical Skills:
- Must have strong experience
- Experience with multiple analytics methods (supply chain and procurement spend analytics)
- Understanding of NLP techniques for text representation, semantic extraction techniques, data structures and modeling
- Deep understanding of text representation techniques (such as n-grams, bag of words, sentiment analysis etc), statistics and classification algorithms
- Predictive modeling (Linear regression, hierarchical models, logistic regression, etc.)
- Experience with machine learning frameworks (like Keras or PyTorch) and libraries (like scikit-learn)
- Programming and visualization experience preferred, e.g., Python, R, Tableau
- And functional knowledge of
- Procurement management and understanding of product hierarchies
- Good understanding of the Purchasing function and activities involved in the P2P value chain
- Analytics delivery, hands on and through the entire life cycle of an analytics engagement
- Experience of leading teams of analysts / modelers and managing relationships with working level clients on his/her own
- Develop and maintain thought capital around various practice areas and suggest additional modelling opportunities
- And familiar with
- Advanced Excel, Alteryx , SQL, Tableau, SRSS a plus
- Case delivery process
- Client engagement and problem solution for customization requirements
YOU BRING (EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS)
Job Requirement:
- Bachelor’s / Master’s degree in computer science engineering/technology or equivalent
- Excellent communication skills
Work Experience:
- At least 6-8 years of relevant industry work experience providing advanced analytics solution in a commercial setting or around 4-6 years of consulting experience
- Use products to deliver client engagements and deploy multiple different datasets on client cases
