Boston Scientific is seeking a Senior IT Business Systems Analyst to support our Quality Management initiatives within the IT organization. This is a highly visible and strategic role that will support all aspects of developing and delivering a new enterprise-wide digital solution for device tracking as a member of an Agile Scrum team. The ideal candidate has a proven track record of successfully translating business requirements to technical requirements, full software development lifecycle experience, and the desire to achieve in a fast-paced and collaborative environment.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Contributes to tasks linked to specific solution and team outcomes. Tasks may be associated with product management, design, testing or data, based on the needs of the team
- Understands related Quality business processes to strategically suggest and implement the right tools and solutions to drive business efficiency and defect reduction
- Works collaboratively with cross-functional and technical teams to provide advice and information to global groups and serve as an advocate to promote the benefits of the respective solution
- Acts as liaison between the users and the technical team to ensure there is shared understanding
- Helps with the writing of user stories and acceptance criteria
- Serves as a support resource in the creation of strategic roadmaps, strategies, and plans
- Enhances, maintains, and supports the development of systems throughout the Software Development Lifecycle according to the IT methodology, department SOP’s, and team guidelines
- Creates and maintains system documentation according to the IT methodology (proposals, designs, test specifications, and other deliverables as necessary) for new and existing applications
- Provide end user demonstrations and support where needed
- Analyzes existing system landscape and tools to identify areas of improvement, optimization, and retirement
- Helps with solution design of business requirements and works with software engineers and architects to prioritize business requirements
- Support effort estimation or story pointing of business requirements
- Supports formal validation with scrum-team and business testers
- Provides support on issues during Sprint and validation cycles
- Helps in backlog grooming sessions in collaboration with Product Owner
- Provides support to Scrum Master on Sprint Planning; Escalate project risks/issues to management as required
- Provides guidance and support to development team and testers on technical solutions
- Manage communications amongst technical staff, vendors, and internal partners
- Collaborates with external groups, including integration and deployment teams, on technical issue, data mapping, and solution delivery
- Attends all Scrum events as requested
What we’re looking for:
Minimum Qualifications:
- Minimum of a bachelor’s degree in business, information systems, computer science, or other related area of study
- Minimum of 5 years of IT Business Analyst experience
- Experience working in a regulated industry (medical device, healthcare, or other relevant area)
- Experience with Jira and other Atlassian tools for Agile lifecycle management
- Demonstrated experience communicating technical information to an audience of varying skill and understanding levels
Preferred Qualifications:
- Team-oriented with the ability to exert influence without formal authority
- Strong organizational skills, including troubleshooting and analytical problem-solving skills, as well as experience leading large development teams and strategic initiatives
- Experience with Quality Systems and Processes (Device Tracking, Field Actions, CAPA, Complaints, etc.) and the ability to identify quality process improvement opportunities
- Experience with implementing and maintaining cloud-native and/or SaaS solutions
