Job Location: New York, NY
The Analytics team at Bread Financial is tasked with navigating and understanding the vast first and third party data and works closely with management stakeholders across Product, Finance, Engineering, and other departments to ensure that we are making the best data-backed decisions we possibly can. As a key member of our growing team, the Data Analyst demonstrates a passion for data and prides themselves on developing the ability to use data to shape decisions around business strategy, product design, and profitability. While working alongside experienced data professionals, this role involves working cross functionally with internal stakeholders to ensure the best data-backed decisions are made.
- 1-3 years of experience in data analytics at a technology company
- Fluency in SQL and organizing multiple sources of data for diagnostic analysis
- Experience working with digital analytics tools such as: Heap, Adobe Analytics, Google Analytics, or other digital analytics event tracking software
- Experience working on cross-functional team
- Knowledge of statistics, i.e., confidence intervals, linear regression, and hypothesis testing
- Ability to articulate ideas to both technical and non-technical audiences
- Bachelor’s degree in Stats, Finance, Economics, Math, or Computer Sciences other related quantitative field preferred
- Experience in engineering (software engineering, data engineering) roles
- Evidenced experience with at least one functional programming language, especially Python or R
- Experience with any technologies in our analytics stack: Snowflake, PostgreSQL, DBT, Databricks and/or Spark, Airflow, Python, Github, Looker, MicroStrategy, Tableau and Docker
- Experience with customer experience and marketing analytics and digital products
- Knowledge about financial services or web applications
- Familiarity with survey data, software, and methods
- Familiarity with an agile working environment
