Job Summary
The Financial Systems team supports research, design, development, special requests, testing, production support, data integration, extraction, transformation, loading and trouble-shooting of Financial systems and business intelligence solutions primarily for all the functional areas of the Chief Financial Officer. The Business Intelligence, Senior Analyst serves as a subject matter expert, researching and querying to provide solutions to meet the financial-related inquiries, trouble-shooting and questions of our financial data community. The Senior Analyst manages and supports the department’s business intelligence development projects by working with both Bread Financial and Corporate partners and the assigned business intelligence application developer to build project-related documents, diagrams and timelines. In addition, the Senior Analyst assists with Quality Assurance/Testing and Financial Business Intelligence system Production Support projects, tasks and end-user training initiatives.

Essential Job Functions
Project Management– Help manage and support department related projects. Act as a Data Analyst partnering with the developer to author the small project requirements, test plans, and system documentation.
Relationship Management– Understand the Business needs be able to write SQL queries and present the data in a meaningful format back to the User. Serve as a trusted advisor utilizing critical thinking and creative thinking skills to enhance or improve the current processes throughout project phases and issues resolution.
System management–Support day-to-day needs for Financial Business Intelligence system-related tasks (Oracle Essbase, Hyperion Planning, dashboards or other custom solutions support). Prepare and execute test plans with detailed test scripts, which includes verifying accuracy of financial calculations.
Attention to detail, Accuracy, Analysis, Drawing Conclusions – Demonstrate attention to detail and accuracy by analyzing data and drawing conclusions based upon the data.
Organized, Prioritization, multitasking, project deadlines, time management – Demonstrate ability to organize and prioritize work in order to work on multiple projects over the same time period.

Working Conditions/ Physical Requirements Normal office environment, some travel may be required. Nature of travel for the team is short-duration and infrequent. Ability to occasionally work from home is required.

Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Finance, Accounting, General Business, Management Information Systems (MIS), Information Technology (IT), Data Analytics or Data Governance.
- Six or more years experience with various query applications (WinSql, QMF, SQL).
- Expertise with source transactional systems, and Data warehouses and other data stores. Understanding of OLAP Cubes, Excel Pivot Tables, Dashboards, Temp Tables.
Preferred Experience
- Six or more years experience as an Agile Scrum Master.
- Strong Project Management skills.
- Power user of BI Tools such as Essbase, OneStream, Qlik, Tableau, CXO, Power BI, Power Pivot or other Business Intelligence applications. Banking/Financial Services/Credit card vertical experience.
- Experience working with FP&A, Accounting, Treasury or Banking.
- Experience in delivering end user training.
- Familiarity with Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
- Proficiency with Alteryx or DataIKU
- Data Exploration tools experience.
- ETL mapping experience
