Overview of Position

Bridger has established strong competitive advantages with our Gas Mapping LiDAR™ technology and we are seeking an outstanding Emissions Data Analyst to help continue our growth. The successful candidate will report to the CTO and work closely with our R&D and Operations teams to define the direction and build upon our emissions data analysis capabilities. The successful candidate will contribute effectively to data integration, data aggregation, data analysis methods, software development, report generation, regulations, and certifications, all based on state-of-the-art scientific, mathematical, and data fusion approaches. 

 

Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to: 

  • Heavily leverage independent problem solving, research, data processing and analysis, data fusion, writing/editing, and presentation to guide Company decision making and growth in:
  1. Creating workflows to generate actionable emissions information
  2. Integration and fusion of third-party data streams
  3. Developing software tools for emissions analysis and report generation
  4. Understanding emissions regulations
  5. Generating and presenting emissions reports
  • Become sufficiently familiar with Bridger’s technology to effectively use existing workflows and develop new emissions data analysis approaches and toolsets.
  • Identify and integrate third-party data sources to improve Bridger’s data products and reports.
  • Collaborate with marketing and business development team members to understand the market drivers and requirements for emissions data products and reports.
  • Interface with software development and information technology teams to build emissions analysis tools into Bridger’s Gas Mapping LiDAR data platform.
  • Work with GML operations team to refine GML data acquisition approaches to optimize information that can be extracted from GML survey data.
  • Research, learn, and keep up to date on industry activity, regulatory policy/initiatives, and certifications to inform strategy.
  • Coordinate with other team members and departments to optimize Bridger’s emissions data analysis capabilities.
  • Use customer feedback to improve data products and reports.

Required qualifications:

  • Master’s Degree or higher in science, technology, engineering, or mathematics (STEM) field
  • Demonstrated experience with independent initiative execution and problem solving
  • Demonstrated experience in applied mathematical modeling and statistical data analysis
  • Solid data analysis software development experience, preferably in Matlab or Python
  • Outstanding and compelling proposal-writing and oral presentation skills
  • Outstanding research and data synthesis skills
  • Willingness to learn quickly and work hard and efficiently in fast-paced environment
  • Ability to work cohesively with a team of scientists, engineers, executives, and business support staff

 

Preferred qualifications:

  • PhD in a STEM field
  • Experience in statistical analysis of large data sets
  • Experience in the oil and gas industry
  • Familiarity with oil and gas infrastructure and equipment across the natural gas supply chain
  • Experience with geographic information systems
  • Experience with SQL and database systems

  • This is a full-time, salaried position
  • Salary is commensurate with education, experience, and skills
  • Travel may be required for this position
