Job Detail:

Primary Purpose

Reporting to the Director, Product Management, the Product Analyst will help analyze and synthesize data to get insights needed to make the best product development decisions.

Major Functions/Responsibilities

  • Own responsibility for the Back-Up Care’s web analytics platform (Pendo) including ensuring all pages and features are tagged appropriately while working to build accurate funnels, paths and trends to drive insights, as well as create and publish guides and polls within the agreed upon framework and process of BUC Product, QE, BUC CCB
  • Perform ad hoc SQL queries to help the Product Team make data-driven decisions
  • Moderate Usability Testing sessions and synthesize the data from those sessions to help inform better UX design decisions
  • Work as a liaison between the Product Team and the Business Intelligence team to ensure Objectives and Key Results are accurately measured and visualized on the OKR dashboard
  • Work with Program/Operations partners, in conjunction with Business Intelligence, to help provide data-driven insights, while appropriately communicating the constraints of this information where necessary
  • Help the Product team creatively solve problems in innovative ways through knowledge of our data and applications

Decision Making Authority

  • Receives limited direction and exercises independent judgment within the scope of their role
  • Regularly required to influence function or department

Education/Experience/Skills

  • College degree preferred or equivalent experience
  • Knowledge of and experience with Bright Horizons Back-Up Care’s data warehouse, databases, and general data structure preferred
  • Knowledge of and experience with web analytics platform required, as well as fluency in SQL and experience with data visualization in Excel
  • Knowledge of Bright Horizons Back-Up Care product, our end users and the specific problems we are solving for preferred
  • Experience developing REST and GraphQL APIs preferred
  • Role will be based out of either a Bright Horizons office or home office. Occasional travel will be required at a maximum twice a year
