The TechOps Database Operations team at one of our largest Fortune 100 Energy clients is participating in Brooksource’s Elevate Program, where they are actively seeking a Jr. IT Reporting Analyst to join their growing team. The ideal Jr. IT Reporting Analyst will be given the opportunity to functionally support the TechOps department to act as a liasion between IT Application and Cyber Security teams. The objective of this role would be to manage cyber vulnerabilities and gather results from each instance. The selected Jr. IT Reporting Analyst will work under the guidance of a Sr. Analyst, but should be able to work autonomously and be eager to learn and grow in an agile environment. This specific team is fast-paced and deals with a good amount of change/continuous improvement remediation. Requirements:
· Bachelor’s Degree in Information Systems, Information Technology, or relevant field; OR equivalent experience.
· 0-2 years of experience with Microsoft O365 (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Teams, Outlook).
· Professional experience building presentation in MS PowerPoint.
· Experience with Excel Pivot tables, H-lookups and V-lookups.
· Experience working with Power BI or similar.
· Experience scheduling meetings, taking meeting notes and doing necessary follow-ups.
· Experience with general reporting and analysis.
· Broad, overarching IT conceptual knowledge to understand how systems and services work.
· Understanding of cyber security systems is a plus!
· Experience and/or familiarity with change management is a plus!
· Possesses excellent analytical, organizational, conceptual, and problem-solving skills.
· Passionate about a long-lasting career in IT, Cyber Security or Data Analytics.
Your Responsibilities Include:
- Act as liaison between IT Application and Cyber Security team for cyber vulnerability response.
- When cyber vulnerabilities are identified, map out a remediation plan and establish relationships with necessary stakeholders and business groups.
- Perform general reporting for Database Operations/Cyber Vulnerability response team.
- Track cyber remediation plans and ensure necessary stakeholders are involved.
- How many cyber vulnerabilities have come in, how many have been remediated, which ones need to be prioritized over others, etc.
- Work alongside IT application teams when cyber vulnerabilities arise with specific teams.
- Coordinate validation meetings, escalation meetings, etc. ensuring necessary stakeholders are in attendance.
- Independently meet with business groups involved in miscellaneous projects.
- Update existing dashboards with relevant data and new metrics that display the project status.
- Analyzing metrics on where projects stand and reporting data up to management team.
