Roles and Responsibilities
Introduction:
Execute day-to-day interface management for various Banking Systems. Manage and review process Interface errors, and work with the Financial Control, Business Partners and Technology teams to correct Interface errors. Manage reference data (Mapping tables) management and Vertical reconciliation for banking systems including first level investigation and consultancy to Finance/Business partners on break corrections. Adhere to SOX controls and manage SLAs for RFT. Support Barclays projects bearing impact on FETL systems.
What will you be doing?
- Manage FETL Interfaces including SLA tracking and MIS reporting.
• Perform Vertical Reconciliation for Banking and Product systems.
• Provide Level 1 consultancy to Finance/Business on Financial Breaks occurring from Reconciliation and Open Balances in suspense accounts.
• Manage FX Interface and error corrections.
• Adherence to SOX controls and documentations.
• Manage Internal/External audits.
• Manage Reference data (Mapping tables) management including impact assessment from new projects and changes
• Responsible for preparing training plan and material for delivery online and face to face to business customers
• Gather end user business requirements for all applications and apply excellent business analysis for recommended systems solutions with limited or no line manager involvement
• Run the monthly system rollover and preparation processes of the systems
• Operational monitoring of the data interaction between upstream and downstream systems and pre-emptively highlight/resolve any possible breaks
• Liaise with IT teams to ensure technical and functional alignment as per the clients reporting needs
• Consult with Line Manager, Financial Control and Product Control teams to ensure wider requirements are met and stakeholders agree timetable.
• Manage remote transitions and correctly pose to RFT team
• Meet best practice control requirements for administration of the FETL system including: Change Control, Documentation of Business Requirements, SOX, and operational risk.
Desired Candidate Profile
What were looking for:
- Graduate degree (Bachelors’ in Commerce /B.Tech or equivalent)
• Minimum few years of experience after graduation
• Reasonable Knowledge of Financial Statements and Services in banking environment
• Reasonable knowledge of SAP, Excel and Structured Query Language),
• Reasonable hold on SOX management.
• Understanding of compliance frame work.
• Experience in data crunching/analysis including automation Macros, python, Alteryx etc.
• Excellent team player with the ability to also work independently when required.
• Proven ability to adapt to an evolving operating model and to actively participate in its development
• Should be able to handle multiple stakeholders effectively
• Proven ability to work under pressure and balance priorities to meet tight deadlines.
• Good Analytical and problem solving skills
Skills that will help you in the role:
- Knowledge of General Accounting
• Understand Banking specific accounting concepts
• Should have excellent inter-personal and communication skills: strong verbal and written communication skills, able to clearly articulate complicated issues to management and other stakeholders.
• Additional desired skills are:
• Understanding of ETL Framework.
• Understanding Teradata
