About this role
This role is for a Salesforce Technology Lead /Technical Development Lead in the Global CIO unitain with ~ 4-6+ Years of relevant Salesforce Technical Experience and 2+ years of experience as a key technical SME cutting across several business- critical Telco OSS/BSS Software Systems.
The role is accountable to ensure Delivery Excellence by leading on Technology Transformation, Development and Test Automation as per S/W Engineering Best Practises
You’ll have the following responsibilities
- As a Software Engineering Specialist, you are responsible for the development and support of multiple S/W systems.
- You are the lead technical expert and senior developer with Pretty Hands-On Expertise in Application design and development in Salesforce with experience in Various Design Patterns, Classic and Lightning Framework, Lightning Web Development etc
- Technical understanding of APEX, Visualforce, Lightning components, Lightning Web Components, Visual Flows etc.
- You have hands on Knowledge on Native Cloud Technology like CPQ (vLocity, Omniscripts, Integration Procedures) etc
- You are conversant with emerging Tech as well like AI/ML/Data Analytics and are Technology and Tool Aware and you keep yourself up to date with latest Technology and Trends
- You can work both as an IC as well as a Team Player to showcase ‘what good is’ by being an expert engineer.
- You will be expected to demonstrate best practices in refining requirements, design solutions, review code, tests and deploy applications.
- You are a role model for the Software Engineering Professionals in the team with a responsibility to set a high bar for quality.
- As part of this responsibility, you will provide regular Technical coaching and mentoring to junior Team members.
- As a Technical expert, you continuously evaluate areas of Technology, Process and Standards to identify improvement opportunities and areas of Optimisation.
- You are a key knowledge champion and seek every opportunity to share your experience across the department.
- You will be required to represent your team in meetings with stakeholders, contributing to their strategy and direction.
- As a technology enthusiast you keep up to date with the latest developments in the IT industry and apply industry best practice to drive continuous improvement and innovation within BT.
- You are able to independently manage teams of size small to medium comprising of High Performing mix of Developers and QA
You’ll have the following skills & experience
Experience in handling, understanding complex E2E S/W Architecture and business requirements and Provide clarity to Development teams.
Capable to work in Agile environment with experience in reviewing architectural models and producing detailed and unambiguous design artefacts
Able to do Technical and Functional Reviews, walkthroughs and recommend simple and innovative solutions to complex business problems
In depth understanding of E2E SDLC used on large scale agile projects
Exposure to a variety of technologies, including object-oriented techniques/principles, database design, application & web servers
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, communicating and influencing effectively
Experience in working with multi-functional engineering teams across geo and time zones
Quick ‘Learn and Build’ Attitude and able to work with little supervision
Aptitude to pick up new concepts and technology rapidly; ability to explain it to both business & IT stakeholders
Always able to look at Delivery Optimisation ways via Automation
You are a Knowledge Champion and well aware of the mandatory BT processes and practises and always adhere them towards compliance. Dedication to achieving outstanding customer results with a team-oriented drive and a demonstrated ability to lead by example
You are able to write Technology white papers enabled via Proof of Concepts for various Tooling Assessments towards Transformation Feasibility work
Excellent time management and organization skills as well as the ability to manage multiple competing priorities
Technical Skills Required: –
4-6+ years of experience in developing applications with Salesforce and 2+ years of relevant experience in Salesforce acting as Lead or LSA
Experience Range: Minimum 2+ Years relevant Salesforce Lightning experience acting as a Lead.
Certifications: Must be either Application Architect / System Architect Certified, both certifications are most desirable
Design & development experience in Salesforce Classic/Lightning on Sales, Service Cloud.
Experience in integration and implementation of Salesforce components
Knowledge of Salesforce implementation methodology.
Must have extensive proficiency in designing and monitoring best practices, debugging, and tuning and be well-versed with using the Salesforce platform to develop Salesforce applications
Experience in Agile methodology – highly desirable
Strong experience in DevOps Implementation using Salesforce (Gitlab, AWS, Gitlab Runner, Trunk Based, Feature Based)
Experience in more than one project implementations is desired but not mandatory
Experience configuring Salesforce in any E-2-E modules (E.g., Sales, Service, Classic / Lightning Design, interface API, Report Definitions & dashboards, Process AI, API, Authentication etc. only to name a few)
Preference and focus on Visual Studio Code based development and design
Design and propose Design Guardrails & Enforce best practice
Experience of Code review, code optimization and system performance
Fair knowledge of Salesforce Design and Integration Frameworks and Salesforce Market place offerings
Experienced in creating models and strategies for offerings within Salesforce and creating solutions for multiple frameworks.
Telco domain experience is desirable but not mandatory
Database Technologies – MS SQL Server, Oracle and ready to get hands on and learn new Tech whenever required
Knowledge on Analytic Tools like Einstein, Event Monitoring, Tableau CRM etc desirable.
Versed with integrating using middle wares like API Gateways, REST, SOAP, and Design Patterns, Application Security, DevOps CI/CT/CD etc.
In depth knowledge of Atlassian Suite tools (Confluence and Jira) or similar toolset with Agile Ways of Working
Knowledge on DevOps Toolchains
Knowledge of Performance Testing using manual and automated technologies.
Knowledge on Emerging Tech -AI/ML/DL, Data Analytics is added advantage
Telco OSS/BSS Software Systems Development Experience is desirable
Minimum Educational/Technical Qualification:
Academic: Bachelor’s degree(or higher) in computer science, computer engineering or related IT field
Salesforce Certification: Must be either Application Architect / System Architect Certified, but both certifications are most desirable
Relevant Experience Range: 4-6+ years of Salesforce technical experience with a minimum of 2+ Years relevant Salesforce experience acting as LSA or Salesforce Technical Lead.
