The Region Business Analyst is responsible for bridging the gap between IT and business processes using data analytics. The role will evaluate and develop critical financial and operational reports to guide business’s decision making. This role will support the daily needs as well as developing and promoting long term strategies for our group of companies.
We take an innovative approach to supporting our clients, working side-by-side in an agile environment using emerging technologies. Our projects utilize rapid design and development techniques to respond to client demands for meeting the challenges of growing businesses. The successful candidate will interface with clients, stakeholders, and teams to create business requirements and user stories. The role will be joining a team of all-stars preparing for projects in 2023.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in configuration and maintaining of the ERP system to ensure end-user business requirements are met.
- Documenting and tracking the progress around various departmental reporting needs.
- Developing and validating reports for various business departments using Crystal report and writing SQL queries to manipulate data.
- Creation of data models while curating the data from multiple tables using Visual Studio and Azure Analysis Services.
- Explore data to design, develop and test dashboards using data visualization tools like Power BI and providing support to the end users.
- Refreshing and scheduling of reports on every period end for accounting team.
- Continuous maintenance of reports with modifications per end-user’s needs. Create documentation for best practices, training, and maintenance.
- Extracting and cleaning of data whenever required from ERP systems.
Requirements:
- Minimum 2 years of experience in data analysis and/or reporting.
- Requires minimal domestic travel 10%-25%.
- Bachelor’s degree required (Analytics, Electrical or Computer Systems Engineering, Computer Science, or related quantitative field). Master’s degree preferred
- Experience with SQL database and query writing, SQL Server Management Studio, and MS Visio.
- Experience with ERP implementation/transition, sage products is a plus
- Beginner/Intermediate knowledge on using Crystal Reports and/or writing SQL queries
- Experience with data visualization tools, preferably Power BI
- Strong Excel skills and other MS Suite applications.
- Proficiency in Project Management tools like Smartsheet.
