Job Detail:

6+ Month Contract Role
Preference for hybrid (1 day/week in office) in Buffalo, NY

The Data Analyst position is responsible for working closely with the our team to identify relevant sources of data and assisting with the collection, analyzing, and the development of interactive Microsoft PowerBI dashboards and reports that will be used to prove recommendations for improving the operations and outcomes as well as meeting internal and external reporting requirements. The Data Analyst works closely with the departmental and team leads including, program, quality, and the finance leadership to develop and maintain the data infrastructure and quality.
Responsibilities

  • Assist with developing, implementing, and maintaining leading-edge analytic systems, taking complicated problems and building simple frameworks
  • Work closely with departmental leads to assist in developing strategic data and information management to assist in reaching established outcomes and measures
  • Identify, collect and analyze data, specifically as it relates to the agreed upon data points.
  • Assist in identifying trends and opportunities for growth through analysis of data sets
  • Assist with evaluating internal systems for efficiency, problems, and inaccuracies, developing and maintaining protocols for handling, processing, and cleaning data
  • Create best-practice reports based on data mining, analysis, and visualization
  • Work directly with management and users to gather requirements, provide status updates, and build relationships

Required Skills and Experience

  • A minimum of three years working as a Data Analyst in the Microsoft Suite of Tools to include Power BI, PowerApps, SharePoint and SQL Databases
  • A minimum of three years of experience with building analytical reports and developing dashboards via PowerApps, PowerBI and SharePoint
  • Strong development skills in building queries and creating business logic and workflows with Microsoft PowerApps
  • Proven analytic skills, including mining, evaluation, analysis, and visualization
  • Technical writing experience in relevant areas, including queries, reports, and presentations
  • Strong SQL and Excel skills with the ability to learn other analytic tools
  • Prior experience with database and model design and segmentation techniques
  • Exposure to programming experience with frameworks including XML, JavaScript, SQL, and ETL
