General Summary:
This role is responsible for identifying and executing initiatives or projects that improve IT sales services / solutions in order to deliver desired business outcomes within the functional area of Sales at the Campbell Soup Company. Areas of initial primary focus will be Sales Enablement & Digitization system transformations to include Retail Execution, Order Management, BYOD, Reporting, and Analytics.
This person will be responsible for working across a cross section of stakeholders, advocating for technology solutions, developing short- and long-term solutions, and delivering across a multitude of sales force automation capabilities. The successful candidate will need to work closely with all business partners and consultant/contingent team members. As such, this person must have strong written and verbal communication skills. Additionally, the ideal candidate will be self-motivated, collaborator, passionate about working with people and teams.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Identify opportunities to use creative, innovative technology solutions to improve business processes, productivity, and business outcomes
- Using a business blueprinting process methodology assist in identifying process gaps / opportunities / risks with all proposed changes involving business technology
- Support the development and execution of an IT Roadmap which establishes clear linkage between business needs, IT capability, and the desired business outcomes for assigned areas
- Conducting business discovery; gathering business requirements; executing business case development.
- Supports requirements analysis, application and technical design, development, testing, and implementation
- Communicate IT value as required to business stakeholders
- Become knowledgeable on key business processes, how they operate, and optimization opportunities
- Work with business partners to identify applicable business outcomes, KPIs, & IT Service levels in area(s) and conduct ongoing monitoring
Job Complexity:
- Assimilate into and actively participate on project teams of the Function / Business Unit supported as needed.
- Ability to participate in business process mapping and understand key processes as those who own them.
- Stay updated on IT and BU / Function plans to ensure tactical decisions adhere to the long-term direction.
- Assist with the planning, design, development, testing, maintenance, and implementation on IT projects
- Supporting several aspects of project, requirements analysis, design, development, testing and implementation.
- Understand and monitor relevant service level metrics and drive improvements, as needed
Minimum Requirements:
- Ability to work with business partners on creating specifications for IT capabilities needed to deliver business outcomes and demonstrating how they link to Strategic Plan and AOP Objective.
- Ability to quickly learn and understand business strategies, objectives, and processes to meeting business needs.
- Moderate presentation skills and ability to represent the IT function as a valued business partner.
- Demonstrated collaboration skills to support with Solution Delivery to jointly build a Project Authorization where the benefits case is brought forward and supported with costs, approach, and technologies as approved by IT.
- Ability to support business process optimization and enablement for projects with clear, tangible, measurable outcomes.
Technical competencies:
- Minimum education required: Undergraduate degree in a related field
- Minimum 1-2 years of business experience / IT experience
- Proficiency in business process or other process optimization methodology is preferable
- Experience with any Retail Execution applications or platforms
- Strong analytical skills and sales business acumen is preferable
