Role Priorities
- Perform process simulations and develop Process Flow Diagrams (PFD’s), P&IDs, and Heat and Material Balances
- Provide information throughout the various proposal, engineering, and construction phases to the proposal and project teams with regard to all aspects of Process Engineering.
- Develop sizing information for Process Equipment (compressors, pumps, heat exchangers, distillation columns, separators, reactors, etc.) and provide information in the form of equipment data sheets
- Perform a thorough review of customer’s inquiry and/or Request for Process Design information
- Support the R&D team as and when required and contribute to IP innovation.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare process design and support Proposals and Projects for the Business Unit.
- Perform a techno-economic analysis of the process design and compare it with the competitive process design
- Prepare material selection designation (diagram) for plant requirements
- Recommend innovative ideas and alternatives to be cost-competitive with Proposals
- Participate in HAZOP studies.
- Assist in Plant start-up and performance testing, as required
- Participate in relevant meetings, prepare progress reports and comply with required checking procedures
Experience & Desired Skills:
- At least 1-year’ experience within natural gas treating, environmental emissions, refining/petrochemicals, or gas processing industries.
- Bachelor’s / Master’s degree in chemical engineering
- Strong technical fundamentals with process engineering skills.
- Strong working knowledge of Process simulators, Protreat, gPROMs, Aspen Plus, Promax, UniSim, HYSYS, HTRI, PIPENET or FLARENET etc.
