Cardinal Health International India, is looking for a tech savvy, innovative BI/SQL Developer with a sense of ownership, drive, and initiative toward a data centered mindset in support of our business model.
The Senior Business Intelligence Developer develops and modifies Business Intelligence solutions independently. The Senior BI Developer designs data models used for reporting and analytics, develops ETL processes to populate our DW, and utilizes BI tools to satisfy end user data needs. This role will be responsible for all Tableau report design and creation. They will provide data analysis support to our internal/external customers by assisting with the development of reports and/or dashboards to monitor program and operational performance. They will be responsible for the implementation of solutions that support global technology operations and long-term strategies. Implements large/multiple development projects. Functions as lead on projects.
Data Integration/Data Modeling
- Designs logical and physical data models for our data warehouses and business intelligence reporting. (ie. unstructured, structured, file-based)
- Creates and/or updates data models to meet new and changing business requirements.
- Maps source system data to data warehouse models.
- Assists in ETL design, development, testing, maintenance, metadata, and implementation of data warehouse initiatives.
- Gathers user requirements and implements solutions that ensure requirements can be achieved through high quality deliverables.
- Develops ETL mapping specifications for loading information into the data warehouse and for ensuring reliability of information loaded.
- Provides a feedback loop to advise on data standards in transaction systems that will lend better to long term analytic use of our data.
- Applies ETL error handling and package logging that stores results into SQL tables for ease of troubleshooting
Business Intelligence Reporting:
- Responsible for end-to-end implementation of Tableau Business Intelligence BI reports/dashboards.
- Partners with business end-users to develop and implement collaborative solutions to data reporting problems.
- Utilizes techniques and standards to produce dashboards and reports that support business needs.
- Creates interactive filters, parameters, and calculations for dashboards and worksheets in Tableau; uses detailed expressions and table calculations.
- Performs data analysis and data validation by comparing data in Tableau to source systems using SQL to write queries.
Technical Skills
- Strong SQL programming/python scripting/data analysis experience
- Relational database architectures at enterprise scale. Environments such as SQL Server, MySQL, Oracle, Redshift or Snowflake
- Use of ETL tools such as, SSIS, Talend, Matillion
- Industry standard data models such as Kimball’s dimensional model
- Analytical tools available in cloud infrastructure such as AWS, Azure, and GCP.
Minimum Requirements:
- Requires a BS degree in computer science, MIS or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- Minimum 7 years of experience in relational database development or administration
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in visualization tools building reports/dashboards and BI applications
