The IOT Engineer will realize the US – Carrier Digital IoT strategy. Develop and test Machine Learning (ML)-AI models from IoT and other disparate data sources and validate them for deployment. Implement prototype and final algorithms in cloud. They will be proficient in accessing cloud data stores that serve various applications.
They will be developing data processing logic in the cloud. AWS experience is an added plus. They will develop quick prototypes with preliminary user interfaces to demonstrate ML algorithm capabilities to various stakeholders.
They will work closely with US – Carrier Digital team for their developments. They will implement best practices, techniques technologies to enhance value driven delivery of digital ecosystem will be required.
The position requires a self-motivated and driven individual with clear thinking and problem-solving ability having a constructive and enthusiastic style of working to ensure delivering the next generation cloud processing/automation initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
As a member of the Digital Team, youll be a key developer of data-driven solutions for HVAC problems, prototyping applications that the business can leverage to build their deployable applications which gives the most value for the total cost of ownership for the capability we are providing. Hands-on ML development using Python and AWS Core services e.g., S3, serverless computing, e.g., lambda functions will be required.
The role doesnt stop here, you ll be developing proof of concept UI with AWS UI applications or PowerBI or similar for prototyping applications driven from the AWS cloud.
Desired Candidate Profile
- Bachelor s degree or above in computer science, software engineering, or equivalent
- 3+ years of progressive experience in building ML-based services
- Anomaly detection
- Health monitoring
- Diagnostic modelling
- Predictive modelling and validation
- Prescriptive modelling and validation
- Proficiency in implementing ML-AI in at least one programming language, expert knowledge of relevant ML libraries. Expertise in Python is preferred.
- AWS Serverless Computing experience: e.g., Lambda Functions, API Gateways, Step Functions, Kinesis etc.,
- Collaborate with and synthesize feedback from both UX and cloud technology teammates.
- Deliver innovative, engaging prototypes using at least one front-end technology.
- Experience with Git and with Git workflows, including tagging, branching, and integration
- Understand the full scope of the problems our products are solving for users
- HVAC domain experience is an added plus
