Position Title: Lead Engineer – Data Analytics and Machine Learning;
- Collect data from IoT platform, perform data integrity and quality check and filtering
- Organize large-scale data to the required formats for data analysis for the intended business use cases
- Define hypotheses and establish consensus among stakeholders and summarize the data sufficiency for different service business use cases
- Data mining using state-of-the-art methods
- Selecting features to evaluate the defined hypotheses, building and optimizing classifiers using machine learning techniques
- Enhancing data collection procedures to include information that is relevant for building analytic systems
- Develop tools of visualization and dashboard to illustrate the data analysis results
- Deploy analytics algorithms to the cloud-based IoT platform (e.g., Microsoft Azure, PTC, AWS etc.)
- Support the development of end-to-end cloud-based analytics solution implementation
- Maintain the analytics solutions to sustain the value addition and focus on betterment for continuous improvement
Education
- Master’s degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Math, or Engineering with 5+ years of experience
- Ph.D in Computer Science, Statistics, Math, or Engineering is a plus
Experience/Qualifications
Required Technical Skills/Education:
- Excellent understanding of data mining, machine learning techniques and algorithms
- Knowledge on statistical programming languages, including but not limited to R, Matlab, Python, SLQ, etc., to process data for insights that are monetizable
- Strong coding experience: C/C++, Python, Java, JavaScript, etc
- Solid background in database management tools such as SQL
- Broad set of technical skills and expertise in machine learning focused on cutting edge technologies such as IoT, artificial intelligence (AI), and cloud computing
- Familiar with IoT framework and experience in implementing analytics algorithms in any of the cloud-based platforms – Azure, PTC, AWS
- Fluent English (both written and spoken), solid technical writing, presentation and communication skills
- Good understanding of control systems
Preferred Skills/Education:
- Strong hands-on experience in an analytics environment and applications.
- Strong hands-on experience in collecting, filtering, organizing, and analyzing large-scale dataset using cloud-based platform.
- Strong hands-on experience in implementing analytics algorithms to cloud-based IoT platforms (Microsoft Azure preferred).
- Ability to use Python libraries : Pandas, Numpy, Scipy, Scikit-Learn, TensorFlow, Matplotlib, Seaborn, Plotly, SALib.
- Ability to perform hyperparameter tuning, innate ability to choose right algorithms by the evaluation of requirements vs strengths of algorithm along with vectorized implementation of analytics algorithms.
- Experience with developing end-to-end analytics solution using Python or cloud-based implementation is a plus
- Sensitize the stakeholders to understand, support and realize the analytics value for investing in exploring analytics use cases
