As the Business Intelligence Analyst for this product-led business unit, you will be responsible for analyzing and interpreting data from past and present user behavior and consumption patterns on our developer experiences and turning insights into data-driven decisions. You will work cross-functionally to help Engineering, Product, Sales and Marketing leadership clearly understand the state of the business by translating data into decisions that impact in-product experiences as well as drive our Go-To-Market (GTM) motions.
We are looking for a strategic thinker, with experience and excellent insights working in a freemium/product-led space across the lifecycle of a user from consumer to a subscriber to an enterprise customer. In this role you will provide subject matter expertise in business analysis, process design, and project management activities. You ll provide insights at scale that drive both long-term strategy and near-term operations for sales and marketing.
As our BI Analyst, you will:
- Drive business intelligence initiatives around acquisition and retention at an individual level, and expansion at a company-level, Including and not limited to also exploring business viability from new revenue offerings.
- Turn business requirements into technical requirements, analyze platform usage and patterns and influence critical in-product developer experiences. You will also provide insights for GTM efforts across all stages of the consumer and customer funnel.
- Generate automated solutions from statistical models using internal and external data sources to track business growth that unlock sales and customer success recommendations
- Build dashboards, reports, tools, visualizations. Work with our data engineering team to integrate with internal tools to unlock insights to grow our product-led business.
- Collaborate with Sales, Solutions Engineering, Support, Product, and other teams to inform decisions through meaningful data deliverables, translating business insights into decisions and action.
- Lead the implementation of the necessary tools, processes, and reporting to ensure the success of the business.
- Iterate and innovate to continuously improve the quality of our data and insights.
About You
- 5+ years work experience (or equivalent educational experience) preferably in business intelligence, data analysis, or strategy-related roles
- BA/BS degree in marketing, statistics, mathematics, economics or other quantitative disciplines
- Substantial experience in any area of data analysis, be it looking at complex sets of data, and using that data to answer interesting, and often non-intuitive questions. Able to navigate complex, undefined problems, effectively articulate any technical challenges and present your findings to cross-functional teams in an engaging way.
- Exceptional problem-solving and analytical skills including strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, SQL, Google Analytics, and data visualization tools like PowerBi, Tableau, Looker etc.
- You re a strong communicator and consensus-builder, bringing together business unit needs and technical teams.
- You are comfortable working in a fast paced, deliverable focused environment.
- You love puzzles and problem solving.
- You take the initiative to develop solutions rather than waiting for the answer.
- Being Bilingual is a plus speaking fluent consumer end user and also developer-speak.
- Understanding of web technologies including HTML, JS, CSS, networking, Content Delivery Networks, Cloud etc. is an plus.
