Job Description Summary
As a member of CCC’s Data science team, you will work closely with the data scientists in our company and under direct guidance from the chief data scientist. Your work will be fundamental and affect almost every aspect of our product. You will be the first point of contact for new customers and be core to the product development team. They must be self-directed and comfortable working with senior business leaders on the client side as well as internally with CCC Employees.
Job Duties

Developing, testing, tuning models and putting them in production for tasks such as subrogation, salvage, and fraud detection and information extraction.

Conduct discovery sessions with clients and interact with external stakeholders, to define the project’s goals, scope and evaluation metric.

Communicate results and findings to business stakeholders.

Lead and guide domain experts about manual labeling to train and validate models.

Develop and implement methods for tackling statistical challenges such as class imbalance, learning from biased data and information denoising.
Qualifications
As a result of the range of the role, we are looking for people with diverse skills and proficiencies to help make our customers successful. We expect data scientists to be:

A degree in computer science, statistics, mathematics or engineering (or equivalent experience in developing and productizing ML models).

Proficiency with Python is a must; NumPy, Flask, OpenCV, Pandas, Scikit-Learn etc.

Preferred: Experience in product management and user/client-facing activities.
