Position Description
CGI is hiring a Business System Analyst to join our dynamic team.

- Work on projects for one of the largest financial institutions in US.
- Work in a challenging technical environment and gain exposure of advanced tools and technology suites
- Should be able to work independently and manage the work on your own
- You will work closely with your team and Product Owner and peer Scrum Masters to support Sprint and Release Planning, foster team self-awareness, encourage cross-training, decision-making and continuous improvement
Your future duties and responsibilities
- Facilitate requirements analysis and gather requirements from various project stakeholders
- Participate in design sessions, understanding of Data Models and the Interfaces for APIs.
- Transform requirements into user stories and assist product owner in defining the Acceptance criteria.
- Create technical documentation for REST APIs using Swagger, Test the request and response, source and targets for web services using Swagger.
- Data analysis skill including creating/modifying SQL queries, API Swagger creation, Postman API, SOAP
UI or other similar API design and testing tools.
- Analyze current and future infrastructure needs and system performance
- Confidently drive complex business analysis discussions with broad groups of stakeholders, comfortably bridging the technical and business groups while ensuring clear communication and understanding of requirements, decisions, and next actions
- Effectively gather, review, analyze, validate, and map processes and user needs.
- Translating business requirements to detailed technical requirements with fluency to enable IT technical teams
- Abstracting up low-level technical information to a high-level general information
Required qualifications to be successful in this role
- 6 plus years working as Business Analyst preferable on IT Infrastructure upgrade projects
- BS in Computer Science, or related field, or equivalent education
- Must be able to translate application requirements into infrastructure and business context
- Understand IT Architecture and Design Best Practices
- Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills
- Understanding of various technologies (XML, HTML, JavaScript, Web Services, etc.) and experience with any programming/scripting language preferred
- Experience in creating swaggers, Postman API platform
- Strong knowledge of data structures, system design and algorithms.
- Skilled at working in tandem with a team, or unsupervised as required
- Familiarity with database technology such as MySQL, Oracle and MongoDB.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a strong attention to detail and a head for problem solving.
- Knowledge of BIAN standards
