Position Description:
ROLE
The current role is within a team that has been tasked with building a single entry point into the firm’s reporting and analytics across different platforms (Power BI, Tableau, GA Data studio, PDFs, etc). As part of the firm’s strategy to drive the adoption of Microsoft Power platform and streamline reporting and analytics processes across the organisation, the team is looking for a Data Engineer with extensive Power BI experience and Azure Data Factory experience and in-depth understanding of end-to-end development and deployment processes.

The primary focus of the Power BI analyst role collaborating with stakeholders on different levels to gain a deep understanding of existing business processes and needs, identify key measures providing meaningful insight into the different aspects of the business and implement reporting and analytics solutions putting these insights in the core of business operations.
RESPONSIBILITIES Work with stakeholders within business and technology to understand the business needs and help to design and implement optimal solutions fostering data-driven culture in the organisation Understand differences in the approach for building self-service BI (business or IT managed) vs Corporate BI solutions including the choice of data sources and ETL approach
Drive reporting efficiencies by categorizing internal practices for streamlined reporting and define a vehicle for sharing with others, including trainings for Power BI report designers and data modellers, as well as for Power BI report consumer Act as a Power BI product evangelist to build awareness and understanding, be up to date with the changing technology landscape, help to better understand the use cases for the Power Solutions including when the alternatives would be a better fit.
Contribute into the Power Platform centre of excellence within the firm to create the governance structure for the implementation of PowerBI
Assess adoption and customer satisfaction working collaboratively with product teams including UX specialists, monitor user analytics to understand the user behaviour patterns and improve solutions
Be a change ambassador open to collaboration on all levels with a creative approach to each problem
REQUIRED SKILLS
Extensive experience of developing end-to-end Power BI reporting and analytics solutions. This includes SSAS, Azure SQL Database, Power Pivot / DAX, ADF, dashboarding best practices and Power BI deployment modes
Experience and good understanding of the full Software Development Lifecycle, including the use of Azure Dev Ops, Visual Studio (SSDT) for continuous integration and deployment
Highly skilled in data analysis, data modelling and designing ETL processes
Experience in building reporting governance framework and driving the adoption within the organisation is highly beneficiaAbility to create proof-of-concepts or other prototypes using a variety of technologies and platforms as required
Experience of implementation of other Power Platform solutions (Power Automate, Power Apps) is an advantage
Experience of SAFe working practices is desirable
