Job Location: Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex
This is a contract role with a large CPG firm in the DFW area, with the potential to convert to full time in the future.
The candidate will design, develop and implement Advanced Analytics models that have an impact of increasing sales, reducing costs, or optimizing the the company’s assets.
Solution Design And Delivery
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Help guide evaluation of Advanced Analytics use cases/projects and define requirements for models
- Apply and advise on state-of-the-art advanced analytic and quantitative tools and modeling techniques in order to derive business insights, solve complex business problems and improve decisions
- Maintain and ensure that documentation, deliverables, and governance follows PMO standard architecture management process and delivers expected results.
Desired Experience
- Minimum 3 years of hands-on data analysis experience
- Proficiency in Python, Scala, R, SAS, SPSS or other statistical packages
- Advanced knowledge of wide range of statistical and data mining techniques (regression, decision trees, clustering, neural networks, etc.)
- Knowledge of the Software Development Lifecycle, to include story development, testing and release/deployment management using tools such as Git; Experience with Agile practices a plus
- Experience in working with large datasets in relational and distributed databases
- Knowledge of additional programming languages is a plus (C++, Java etc.)
Client Relationship Management
- Collaborate closely with internal and external teams to understand and apply changes/modifications to deliver maximum business benefit for reporting / data warehousing capabilities.
- Engages with Business counterparts in order to remain informed on business objectives and priorities.
- May be expected to deliver programs/projects that cross functional client areas and have more than one business sponsor, representing different business functions.
- Provides subject matter expert input into the Development of a multi-year Advanced Analytics Roadmap
- Maintains positive and trusted working relationships with all business and internal stakeholders.

Education
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative field like Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics or related field required.
- Advanced degree (Masters or PhD) preferred
