Summary
CHS is looking for a Senior Business Operations Analyst, with excellent analytical and communication skills! You will partner with senior leadership within our Country Operations group regularly in the administration of capital planning, review, and report LLC partnership results, and assist with business development/M&A activity – including integration and analytics.
Responsibilities
Capital Planning & Execution (40%)
- Act as liaison to the business unit leadership during the capital budgeting process
- Provide expertise and support to construction project start ups
- Track and evaluate project progress
- Communicate with Construction Services, Finance, and other functional support teams as appropriate
- Create reporting process of progress and identify opportunities and challenges to leadership
- Serve as a key communication link between project stakeholders

Create a process of continuous improvement system to organize data as it relates to capital projects
- Includes storage, presentation, and coordination of project data
- Review of ROI’s post project completions
- Participate actively in project meetings to maintain ongoing project awareness, share insights and perspectives
- Recap and distribute project information to stakeholders
- Communicate with leaders to effectively align project resources and information
- Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure projects are meeting goals-timelines, budgets, etc.
LLC Partnerships (30%)
- Organize the financial data monthly for each of the Country Operation partnership companies
- Provide business analysis to demonstrate what is driving results, how the business connects to CHS, key strategies that partnership is driving toward Example- CHS market share relative to the business activity
- Establish relationships with internal and external stakeholders – meet with the General Managers of each LLC to understand key performance metrics
- Review and perform analysis of moderate complexity in evaluating new business opportunities
- Serve as a liaison between CHS stakeholders and LLC partners
- Familiarize with the Operating Agreements including any service agreements within the overall agreement and identify updates or changes as needed
Business Development
- Assist the leader of Business Development with merger and acquisition (M&A) activities
- Play an active role in due diligence process and integration.
- Perform analysis in partnership with Finance to evaluate potential opportunities and risks.
Insurance
- Collaborate with Risk Management and Finance as it relates to allocations and claims
- Report all property, casualty, and liability losses timely
- Align with Finance on the proper accounting of impaired property
- Partner with enterprise risk management on insurance claims and adjuster needs to manage loss.
- Work with enterprise Risk Management and Finance to budget costs annually.

Minimum Qualifications (required)
- Bachelor’s degree
- 4+ years related experience in business analysis and reporting, Finance, and/or M&A
- Proficient in Microsoft office applications
Additional Qualifications
- Agriculture or Finance degree preferred
- 2+ years Agricultural business experiences
- Continuous improvement mindset
- Ability to Travel 10%
- Strong analytical skill set
- Independent judgement and self-starter
- Solid communication skills and ability to effectively interact within various levels of the enterprise
