Job Description

Leverage knowledge and understanding of Operational Resilience, Operational Risk, the business and external environments, emerging best practices and regulatory requirements to enable the governance, oversight and execution of CIBC’s Operations Resilience Program.

Conduct Operational Resilience engagements for Critical Shared Services. Engagements require end-to-end process mapping, inventorying of key systems/assets, identifying ownership and key dependencies, quantifying the level of impact that is unacceptable to clients, planning scenarios that are severe but plausible, testing the service’s ability to remain within acceptable tolerances, and recommending opportunities for remediation.

Respond timely, completely, and accurately to all regulatory review requests

Continuously build and execute resilience capabilities to satisfy regulatory compliance requirements. Ensure regulatory submissions are timely and of high quality

Design and execute scenario tests around disruption of assets to validate impact tolerances and identify additional single points of failure (SPOF)

Manage relationships with key stakeholders. Analyze data and create presentations for meetings to ensure stakeholders are clear on the purpose of the operational resilience program and where they are needed to make an impact.

Collaborate with business partners (Cyber, Cloud, Technology, Finance, Business Continuity, Third Party Governance) to build robust resilience capabilities.

Provide thought leadership and continue to adapt to an increasingly complex business disruption landscape.

Report and develop investment cases to remediate gaps and SPOF with the goal of improving the client experience

Oversee the development and maintenance of the Operational Resilience Framework and any associated guidance documents to establish the requirements of CIBCs Operational Resilience program

Support change management, communication and training needs to drive cultural acceptance of Operational Resilience
Required Qualifications:

Undergraduate degree

5-10 years related work experience
