This role is for a dynamic and versatile NMS/SDN solutions SE to work for Ciena’s NMS and SDN Solutions. The role’s key focus will be on our domain controller: Navigator NCS (Network Control Suite).
Navigator NCS provides end-to-end lifecycle operations that unify network and service management and online network planning through software-defined control.
Built on an open, extensible micro-services architecture, the Navigator NCS domain controller brings the power of software-defined programmability to Ciena’s next-generation networks and service operations. It eliminates manual and time-consuming steps between multiple management tools, and it provides the
foundation from which you can evolve your operations to drive intelligent automation and orchestration across multi-vendor domains.
The desired candidate will be part of the Global Sales Engineering support team within the Global Sales Engineering organization. The candidate will be expected to work in a cross-functional matrix organization supporting and collaborating with various internal stakeholders like the Accounts team, Sales Engineering,
PLM, Professional Services Team, Solutions Introduction team, Bid Management, R&D and Lab teams to support the pre-sales consulting requirements of Ciena’s customers.
Alongside consulting (both internal and customer), the candidate will also be required to participate in the RFP bidding and response activity, build technical solution documents and conduct internal and customer-centric training and knowledge transfer sessions as needed.
