POSITION SUMMARY

The Business Analytics Advisor position is an opportunity for an analytics professional to provide leadership on complex analytics projects and initiatives. This role will work with an innovative team on setting and executing the vision for how advanced embedded analytics can be utilized to achieving our growth goals. This role will work collaboratively with business stakeholders to provide partnership in analytics, developing analytics solutions, leveraging data science and technologic capabilities and embedding analytics driven processes.

Key Responsibilities

Provide expert content/professional leadership on complex Business Analytics assignments/projects.

Assist with complex data research and analyses to support business operations including: actionable reporting, and methodologies to identify trends in large data sets.

Exercise considerable creativity, foresight, and judgment in conceiving, planning, and delivering initiatives.

Focus on providing thought leadership within Business Analytics but works on broader projects, which require understanding of wider business.

Perform analytics processes, including data and analytic development. Ensure code is appropriately documented and can be understood by other analysts.

Effectively document new developments and build/maintain ongoing tests of data integrity and accuracy.

Analyze results and present analytics in a consumable method using overview, major takeaways, major questions, and next steps.

Translate complex reporting needs into technical specifications, including calculations, custom groups, parameters, filtering criteria, aggregations, etc.

Exhibit full understanding of data and leverage data in an appropriate way (correct sources, clear assumptions, approved by business)

Understand how our analytics affect the broader business and bridge gap between data science and stakeholders.

Maintain analytics skillset through understanding new technologies, modeling techniques, and the ability to execute and apply to our work

Engage with ETL Developers to create or design extracts that feed visualizations

Ensure analytic approach and results are clearly understood by business partners.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree, with a curriculum focus of Statistics, Biostatistics, Economics, or related field preferred

5 years’ industry experience solving business problems through the application of analytic approaches preferred

Extensive experience in all aspects of Development including, but not limited to, Developing meaningful and efficient Dashboards, Analytics, Reporting, Visualizations

At least 1-2 years’ experience and expertise with Tableau Desktop with advanced Tableau skills and adopting Tableau best practices and Standards

Familiarity with ETL Frameworks and Microsoft SQL Server

Strong experience with Business Intelligence concepts and patterns

Proficiency in SQL, relational databases

Proficiency in performing statistical analysis in SAS, R, Python a plus

Previous work experience applying a combination of analytical, technical and business acumen

Demonstrated experience in challenging problems and driving outstanding results

Absolute requirement to work well with team and others remotely through effective communication, time management and transparency of work.

Experience blending creativity, relentless problem-solving, and business acumen

Strong verbal/written communication skills to work with various matrix partners

If you will be working at home occasionally or permanently, the internet connection must be obtained through a cable broadband or fiber optic internet service provider with speeds of at least 10Mbps download/5Mbps upload.

For this position, we anticipate offering an annual salary of 90,500 – 150,800 USD / yearly, depending on relevant factors, including experience and geographic location.

This role is also anticipated to be eligible to participate in an annual bonus plan.
