Revenue Data Analyst & Modeler – Resident Shows Division

The primary responsibility of the Revenue Data Analyst is to compile various statistical reports and analyze data and reports to maximize tickets revenues, theater occupancy, average ticket price, and revenue per available seat or any other special projects. The analyst will report to the Director of Revenue Management & Ticketing Strategy and will assist in all phases of analytics project, including data preparation, statistical analysis, algorithm development, and presentation of results for special projects for Cirque du Soleil resident show division.

In this pivotal role, the Revenue Data Analyst will:

  • Develop and implement a consistent and best-in-class set of templates, reports and analyses for audiences including management, internal teams, and external partners to utilize
  • Translate complex datasets, statistical analyses and models into reporting within business intelligence software for distribution
  • Collaborate with Corporate Business Intelligence team on designing and maintaining highly scalable data pipelines to obtain proper data sources
  • Design, document, deploy and maintain analytical reports utilizing data manipulation techniques to track KPI’s
  • Develop predictive and optimization models; measure model performance and validity using statistical techniques
  • Ensure maximum exposure, inventory availability, and price and revenue opportunities are consistently maintained and monitored
  • Analyze data from various sources to infer, predict and recommend relevant and actionable insights pertaining to revenue maximization
  • Assist with management of holds for all market segments in order to maximize revenue
  • Assist in developing and maintaining checks and balances for the department
  • Prepare various managerial reports for executive review
  • Assist in the collection and storage of key historical data, such as competitive sets, to assist in the ongoing implementation of pricing strategies, reporting, and recommendations for continued revenue generation and efficiencies
  • Accurately maintain seat inventory allocations
  • Closely monitor available inventory and advises management of potential revenue opportunities, and recommended allocation changes, as needed
  • Assist in monitoring all sales channels
  • Assist in the preparation of pre-forecast documentation required for executive review
  • Perform all other job-related duties as requested

Required

  • Bachelor Degree in Business, with an emphansis in Statistics, Finance, MIS (or related field) or at least 3 years of work experience
  • Advanced Excel knowledge (i.e.., VBA, DAX/M, Solver, What-If Analysis, etc.)
  • SAS (Statistical Analysis Software) and/or SQL (Structured Query Language) knowledge
  • Working knowledge of data visualization/reporting tools (e.g., PowerBI, Tableau, and/or Spotfire)
  • Excellent organizational skills to function effectively with attention to detail while meeting targeted deadlines
  • Interpersonal skills to deal effectively with all business contacts and levels of management
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft tools; (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook)
  • Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Able to effectively communicate in English, in both written and oral forms
  • French is an asset
  • Previous experience working in a similar resort setting

Preferred

  • Master Degree in Business Analytics, Statistics or related field
  • At least 2 years of previous work experience in revenue management, live entertainment experience
