What You’ll Do
The role would include (but is not limited to) the following:
- Work as a software engineer for the DevOps team of motivated A-players to engage and evolve our automation solutions for the next generation firewall solutions
- Work closely with various stakeholders at different stages of a product – starting from idea conceptualization till delivering it to customers
- Automate tests using automation libraries and integrate them into regression suites
- Participate in technical discussions and provide innovation to the product
- Work with engineering development teams co-located in different geographical locations
- Provide support and timely resolution of problems on automation solutions/libraries/scripts to internal/external stakeholders
- Use the Agile process for the software development life cycle
- Identify improvement gaps and areas to help mature the product on its quality
- Foster innovation – proactively identify and encourage new ideas.
- Collaborate closely with teams around the globe and execute/participate in cross-site projects as necessary
- Mentor junior engineers
Who You Are
The ideal candidate has:
- 5+ years of experience in experience in software development/Networking/Security Domain Testing
- Holds a Bachelors or Master’s degree
- Possesses an in-depth understanding of the network security domain
- Experienced in building network security solutions and large-scale software products/applications
- Demonstrates a system-level focus while understanding the impact of every component
- Learns new features, technologies and platforms in a relatively short amount of time
- Highly motivated engineer who is passionate about learning and contributing to the team and the business with “can do” attitude
- Well versed with industry trends and technology landscape
- Understands of modern agile practices
- Embodies a lean delivery philosophy, capable of driving innovation and experimentation in Engineering
- Has strong communication skills, both verbal and written
- Is extremely strong team player
Required Skills
- Proficient in networking- TCP/IP,IPv4, IPv6, L2, VLAN, Routing, Switching, etc.
- Strong programming skills on Python, Selenium, Ansible etc.
- Should have experience in UI & API based test automation
- Prior experience of platform testing activities
- Python framework development experience would be a plus
– Knowledge of Security Technologies – Firewalls, IPS and Web security
- Proactive, strong sense of ownership and able to work independently with minimal supervision
Highly Desired skills:
- Cisco product and NXOS, IOS knowledge
- Agile software development experience
- Exposure to Virtual technologies (ESXi, KVM, AWS, Azure, OCI)
- Hands-on experience with Legitimate and Malware Application Traffic generator tools, Linux, Windows, Packet tracer, Wireshark and tcpdump Tools
- Experience in DevOps, Continuous integration and Continuous delivery tools
