What Youll Do
As a Senior Data Scientist, you will:
- Understand Cisco CX professional services portfolio and find opportunities to infuse, embed, and leverage AI/ML models and data science techniques into the portfolio
- See opportunities to use AI/ML models and data science techniques for solving both Cisco’s customer and internal partners (sales, delivery, and engineering teams) problems
- Analyse current systems, solutions, and processes to identify avenues for innovation and automation by implementing AI/ML models and data science techniques
- Work with the broader CX community of Data scientists, software architects, and consulting engineers to define and/or implement upon technical vision, strategy, and roadmap for the CX professional services portfolio
- Provide recommendations and drive the development of new digital capabilities that can be either monetized and added to the portfolio, or help in driving delivery efficiencies
- Lead and take ownership of assigned projects and initiatives
- Individual contributor, active community participant, people champion (mentor and train team members)
Who Youll Work With
- Cisco customers and internal collaborators: Sales, Delivery, Engineering, and CXPM teams
Qualifications for this role are:
- Bachelors/Masterss degree in Engineering, Computer Science, statistics, or equivalent with 7+ years of validated experience
- Strong background in statistics and machine learning is required, preferably with 5+ years of proven experience in AI/ML, Data Science, or related fields
- Data Engineering Experience(SQL, Python, R, Scala)
- Answer sophisticated business questions via structured problem-solving, technical analysis, inferences, and delivering impactful insights & recommendations
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Strong presentation and interpersonal skills
Job responsibilities:
- Experience in software development in languages like Python, R, Spark & SQL.
- Experience in Tensor flow, Keras, transformers, Sci-kit learn, Pytorch python libraries
- Proficient machine learning, information retrieval, applied statistics
- Experience in Machine Learning and Deep Learning applied in various domains (Natural Language Processing etc) and with different data modalities
- Conceive, plan, and prioritize data projects and align data projects with organizational goals
- Having a good understanding of design & architectural principles.
- Formulating, suggesting, and handling data-driven projects which are geared at furthering the businesss interests.
- Selecting and employing sophisticated statistical procedures to acquire actionable insights.
- Real passion for sophisticated data/engineering challenges
- Strong social skills to resolve issues in a professional manner, lead working groups, negotiate and build consensus
- Communicate ideas and solutions to both technical and non-technical audiences

- Knowledge of cloud services (GCP/AWS/Azure)
