Product Taxonomy Business Analyst, AVP
Product Taxonomy Junior Analyst will serve as business analyst to develop the Enterprise Product Taxonomy as a single source of product classification for the firm and will work with all business lines in the adoption of the Enterprise Product Taxonomy. This role will report to the Product Taxonomy Transformation Lead in New Activity Risk Management.
Responsibilities:
- Work with senior analysts to facilitate adoption of Enterprise level Product Taxonomy across multiple lines of businesses
- Assist in Proof of Concept by analysis of current state taxonomy for one or more use cases
- Assist in Proof of Concept in devising target state flow for one or more use cases
- Learn concept of functional product hierarchies and help tailor functional product hierarchies for local functions
- Assist in Proof of Concept exercises to pressure test design of product taxonomy as needed
- Assist in the requirements and testing of Enterprise Product Taxonomy enhancements as needed
- Assist in business analysis and project management activities
- Work closely with business partners and technology teams in addressing and remediating integration challenges.
- Assist in gap analysis, impact analysis, root cause analysis and provide solutions for remediation
Qualifications:
- Seeking candidate with 4-6 years experience in the financial industry
- Familiarity with software SDLC using Agile or waterfall methodologies
- Hands-on experience in business requirements gathering, user acceptance testing and authoring of business-critical documents like requirements documentation.
- Experienced in business analysis activities including impact analysis or root cause analysis.
- Team player with excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to master process flows, data flows and data dependencies across systems
- Strong analytical and reasoning skills and able to devise solutions to critical issues in a timely manner.
- Proficiency in creating polished Powerpoint presentations and in minuting meetings
- Proficiency with Excel or digital tools for analysis of data and drill downs is a plus.
- Ability to monitor and mitigate risks in time and flexibility to adapt to change
Education:
- Bachelor’s/University degree, Master’s degree preferred with an analytical focus (e.g. finance, economics, engineering, mathematics, computer science)
