Securities Services Operations is a global Operations function comprised of Funds Admin Operations, Middle Office Operations, Custody Operations, Issuer Operations, Shared Utilities and Admin.
The organization has ~7,000 FTE and a budget of ~$500MM.
This is a management support role that will be responsible for a wide range of activities including management reporting, interpretation of financial information, process ownership and financial management with a focus on Ops Productivity saves & Investment spend.
This role will provide the incumbent with an insight to the Securities Services business, interaction with the Securities Services Operations Leadership Team and an in-depth understanding of the Global Operations organization
Responsibilities:
- Leading the Ops Productivity & Investment tracking processes and providing guidance to Heads of Operation, wider Global business management team and Project Managers
- Tracking progress against Productivity & Investment targets by analyzing drivers and escalating risks or Gaps to Target
- Providing support for Securities Services Operations financial deliverables including the preparation of the annual financial plan, allocations, and monthly outlook processes
- Preparation of data/materials for monthly governance meetings and Scorecard reporting
- Engagement of key stakeholders across Operations and Technology to ensure alignment of ops productivity Initiatives and technology Book of Work
- Track, consolidate and analyze ad-hoc and regular business requests
- Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm’s reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.
Qualifications:
- 6-10 years experience in financial markets business or business support
- Must be extremely organized, motivated and a self-starter
- Excellent oral and written communication skills and ability to facilitate discussions
- Demonstrated expertise of Microsoft Office product suite (proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint)
- Experience of interacting at senior levels and ensuring credibility is maintained through solid delivery against commitments
- Ability to work independently, multi-task, and take ownership of various parts of a project or initiative
- Excellent analytical and problem solving skills
Education:
- Bachelor’s Degree/University degree or equivalent experience
