The Applications Development Group Manager is a senior management level position responsible for accomplishing results through the management of a team or department in an effort to establish and implement new or revised application systems and programs in coordination with the Technology Team. The overall objective of this role is to drive applications systems analysis and programming activities.
Responsibilities:
- Manage multiple teams of professionals to accomplish established goals and conduct personnel duties for team (e.g. performance evaluations, hiring and disciplinary actions)
- Provide strategic influence and exercise control over resources, budget management and planning while monitoring end results
- Utilize in-depth knowledge of concepts and procedures within own area and basic knowledge of other areas to resolve issues
- Ensure essential procedures are followed and contribute to defining standards
- Integrate in-depth knowledge of applications development with overall technology function to achieve established goals
- Provide evaluative judgement based on analysis of facts in complicated, unique, and dynamic situations including drawing from internal and external sources
- Influence and negotiate with senior leaders across functions, as well as communicate with external parties as necessary
- Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm’s reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency, as well as effectively supervise the activity of others and create accountability with those who fail to maintain these standards.
Qualifications:
- 10+ years of relevant experience
- Experience in applications development
- Experience in management
- Experience managing global technology teams
- Working knowledge of industry practices and standards
- Consistently demonstrates clear and concise written and verbal communication
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree/University degree or equivalent experience
- Master’s degree preferred

Job Summary:
Looking for a motivated and organized senior manager with substantial experience in developing and managing data driven solutioning within markets middle office and operations domain. Candidate should have experience in managing multiple firm critical programs working closely with business stakeholders and technology partners on requirement analysis, solution design, also act as a liaison between the business users and technology developers.
Job Description:
This is a critical Data architecture delivery Lead role in Pune the Markets Operations Technology organization, responsible for delivering solutions for middle office, operations, client communications and exception management including trade processing, trade monitoring and alerts and client reporting. The candidate should also have knowledge in managing large budget, project financials and communication with stakeholders.
The candidate is expected to lead and manage a global team of developers and analysts (employees and consultants) to perform current state and future state analysis, capture user requirements, and work with the development team/leads to deliver the most optimal solution in an agile environment. The person will work very closely with Middle Office and Back Office Operations & Technology and must have a successful track record of large projects implementation. The role requires the ability to understand the technical details and process of front to back Trade Processing for different asset classes and develop solutions as per the business needs. In addition to the above a key immediate focus of this role will be to develop & support the data architecture needs for the Annapurna metrics program covering the ICG O&T high risk process remediation efforts.
Key Responsibilities:
- Providing technology leadership to the development team members and managing day-to-day development activities
- Manage the program, project finance and resources. Participate in budgeting process
- Participate in design and review of key components with middle office, operations and settlement technology teams
- Act as the single point of contact in Asia for client communications, middle office and exception management groups
- Manages risk by resolving issues in a timely and satisfactory manner. Ensures the team is functioning compliantly by monitoring and reviewing employee work products and tracks all training and compliance requirements.
- Manages performance by effectively communicating specific expectations and provides regular feedback on progress.
