Job Location: Glen Allen, VA
Description
Perform a myriad of functions related to mortgage risk systems which require strong expertise in quantitative analysis to benchmark and forecast analysis to support origination pipeline management. Will support manager with in-depth analysis to formulate policy and validate information to maximize risk system performance.
Key functions to include:
- Collaborate with hedging, pricing and pooling teams to provide analytics to improve transparency and accuracy of all pipeline management reporting
- Partner with Market Risk and Model Validation to improve documentation and performance metrics as it pertains to models, assumptions and exposure limits
- Coordinate with risk partners to maintain appropriate controls and testing processes and to coordinate with internal and external partners on all reviews and audits
- Work with business team on new opportunities and approaches to leverage existing model functionality for improved performance
- Work closely with Business channels and Product Development on new initiatives and product opportunities
- Coordinate with IT partners on improved system performance and more frequent system upgrades
- Educate and mentor existing colleagues on all Capital markets related activities
Qualifications
Preferred:
- 5+ years of experience within Capital Markets with a mortgage banking entity with quantitative disciplines
- Strong understanding of mortgage products and processes
- Experience within QRM Risk Management System strongly preferred
- Strong technology skill set including proficiency with data analytics & automation tools such as Excel VBA and SQL.
Hours and Work Schedule
Hours per Week: 40
Work Schedule: 8am-5pm
